Shiny Chickens won't grow up

I have several female shiny chickens. They show up as lizard chickens but will not grow past adolescents. I have done the “Life found a way” quest. I also have a male chicken named Malcolm with a chaotic trait that won’t grow past adolescent either. Are lizard chickens forever doomed to be adolescents?

Check that you don't have a farmhand assigned to the pen. They can stop animals growing past adolescence.

Wow, thanks. That was it. I had completed all the breeds and had not done POF in a while. I had left a helper on that pen only. Thanks again.
