I've done a number of various smithing in the artisan's workshop including 4 sets of rune burial armors. but I've yet to see my respect increase aside from fixing the pipes.

I'm not maxed on respect, currently 18%

I was also wondering if making cannon balls falls under the no respect area of smelting.

I have not spoken with Egil so could that be why?

Think you need to do 10k smith xp (melting bars dont count) to get 1% respect, lower if you bought some of the upgrades, and normal rune armor are not the 1s with the most xp in it nowadays

ya, I'm aware of the 10k smithing xp per 1% part as that can be found in most searches.

More than anything I was curious if cannon balls fall under the smelting category for no gain towards respect since they are made at the furnace and not the anvil.
