Unlocking Daily Challenges

How do you unlock daily challenges? Can't believe I have to ask this, but I've been away for a while, and they've updated daily challenges, and I can't find any information anywhere on how to unlock them. All I've seen is that you have to complete all basic challenges first, but also can't find any information on what a basic challenge is, or how you start them. And the challenge masters in game still spew outdated information about the old daily challenge system.

I'm not sure it needs "unlocking" ,but if that is the case the Gnome lady next to the Banker in Berthrope is the one to talk to. There is an icon down by the wardrobe that looks like a compass you click on to open a menu where you click the Challenges tab.

As I said, the challenge masters are not helping, and only giving outdated information about the old daily challenge system. And the challenge tab simply says "complete all basic challenges" where my daily challenges should be, with no hint as to what a basic challenge is or where I can find them. I have clicked through all of the interfaces, switched the various tutorials on and off, nothing.

Ok....I see the issue you have....either you have not chosen your path or you have skipped a tutorial. Any way The challenges given are: Basic Challenge: Combat (Kill 5 cows.), Basic Challenge: Mining (Mine 3 copper ore), Basic Challenge: Fishing (Catch 5 shrimp or crayfish), Basic Challenge: Woodcutting (Chop trees to receive 3 normal logs) and Basic Challenge: Prayer (Bury 5 bones from cows you've slain.)

Edit:

The Challenge Mistress Fara in Burthorpe may need to be talked to.

If you search Paths on the RS wiki you can find this info.

None of those challenges show up. The only path I have available to me is "Bossing" which requires me to kill every major boss in the game once to complete. Also, this is an older account, and I know for a fact I was receiving daily challenges with the older system before I quit.

The thing you are talking about is also there for me about the Bosses. The menus are way too confusing in my opinion. I have had a hard time finding the Area achievements but found them while trying to figure out how to help you. Have you spoken to Mistress Fara? If so what did she say? You could have the Basic tasks completed and just need her to reward you so you can move forward and start getting Dailies.

The screen where you see the stuff about killing each boss.....look to the left there are some icons you can click on maybe what you need is in one of those sub-menus. I can't say because I have dailies so it wouldn't be there for me.

Perhaps.....you might have helped the OP out a little with the problem in this discussion. Moving the post I understand because I knew it was in the wrong area. I have tried to help but I think I have ran out of helpful advise for this problem.
