Hi, so I think is this correct forum. Basically I cannot get my second Strange Rock (Fletching) for the statue.

I've had all of the other rocks for legit 4 years or more, and I've completed the Priff golden statue almost 3 times now without completing the original even once. I went from 85 to 99 fletching without getting the second rock. At first I just thought it was bad luck, but now I've been trying to collect the Expert Skillcape Shards. I've gotten the fishing shard, the smithing shard, and the construction shard all just today, within about 20 minutes each. I now get to fletching and I've spent over 2 hours fletching over 10,000 logs into headless arrows and haven't gotten the shard or the strange rock. I've double checked with Barnabus Hurma at the Varrock museum and turned collection off and on again. I've triple checked my bank, it's not in there. Also today I've gotten several golden rocks while trying to obtain the other cape shards; usually I get strange/golden rocks within 10-20 minutes of skilling. Do I just have ungodly bad luck or is something wrong?

These activities will not yield strange rocks:
- Using protean logs
- Stringing bows
- Finishing arrows
- Making bolas
- Creating incense sticks

Make sure you are not doing any of those. Also wearing your Fletching Skillcape will increase the chances of obtaining one. Trivial non exploitable game bugs and mechanics can be posted here, for someone knowledgeable to help working around them. ^_^

I was curious about the exact same question as making and stringing 1000's of bows and xbows as well as tens of thousands of arrows and bolts gave me nothing. I finally got my first stone from actual fetching after 3 months of trying today after someone told me I had to take the wood from only certain trees like the maples behind seer bank.

My concern is that this post was about in game gameplay and rng loot yet it was moved to a tech forum for hardware issues. As the forum it was moved to has absolutely nothing to do with topic the only 2 possible reasons I can see for this are that the mod didn't even read the post before moving it or that it was done as a hostile act against the poster. As neither of these options are professional or proper it causes me great concern about this company and those they hire and give power to.

Hence my questioning the actions of the employee and intent and my statement of not wanting to deal with that kind of atmosphere.

As to age of the post, this is the #1 and only result on google for this issue which is why having it moved to a Tech forum where I have no way to find replys and no one would answer bothered me. There is no possible way this topic could be mistaken for a hardware issue and no way anyone dealing with hardware issues is looking for a gameplay post in tech to answer.

If you feel that a moderator has acted in error, you're more than welcome to post your concerns on the Forum Moderation Review thread. Forum moderators are regular players like you and I - they are not employed by Jagex. With that said, this is a relatively old thread, and I would suggest making your own thread if you need help with a piece of content.

I'm pleased that you found the rock. Unfortunately, it's just an example of RNG. You can find a rock fairly quickly, or go weeks without one. Make sure you're completing activities that award rocks, and most importantly, have patience.
