After reading through all those codes, I realized that there was something familiar about them..so I looked up an ASCII table and sure enough I was right, the codes are the decimal values of the symbols and letters..just letting people know so they can print one up instead of constantly revisiting this thread. Good guide though to get people started.
For those who are going to ask.
ASCII = American Standard Code for Information Interchange.

That is true, The codes do originate from there because it is how the computers are programmed. On the other hand only the codes that appear on this thread will work in the game and on the forums, while the tables will have all of them (even the ones that don't work) ;) .
