Video game trivia:
There's evidence stating that the Forest Temple and Water Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were originally planned to be wind and ice temples:
1. The medallions you get after completing the Forest Temple and Water Temple have symbols of a fan and a snowflake on them, respectively.
2. In the Japanese version of Ocarina of Time, there is text in the code calling the forest medallion "wind medallion" and the water medallion "ice medallion."
3. In Ganon's Tower, the section based on the Forest Temple has a puzzle based on fans, and the Water Temple section has puzzles based on ice.

If you look at the legs of fighter pilots in the Star Fox universe, you'll notice that all of their legs are robotic. A theory states that all the pilots have their legs amputated to keep blood rushing into their legs and passing out mid-flight. This theory could be disproved in Star Fox 64, where the Star Fox team's Arwings have something called "G-diffusion" in them, lessening the effects of G-force, but the robotic legs were already introduced in the original Star Fox SNES game.
