Yk’Lagor the Thunderous
Prayers: Pray Protect from Melee
Weakness: Weak to Slash
Thunderous will heal a bit if you die or receive damage inside the boss room.
Everyone on team should help defeat this boss as you need less prayer points.
Yk'Lagor the Thunderous has Two periodical special attacks, which will happen when he says either "Come Closer," or "This is...TRUE POWER." When he yells one of these two phrases, you must hide behind one of the several pillars in the room in order to avoid the attack.
Also
The boss room is asymmetrical, Pillars on one side of the room are closer to the boss then the pillars on the other side of the room.
Do all your fighting and hiding on the side where the boss is closest to the pillars, so you have less distance to run in order to hide.
Strategy:
When the boss room is first opened, Yk'Lagor the Thunderous will be trapped by 8 mages and will not be able to attack you, nor will you be able to attack him.
In order to begin the fight, attack 4 of the 8 mages (you do not have to kill them), then hide behind any of the four pillars in the room.
DO NOT attack from a distance (DO NOT RANGE or MAGE) Hiding behind pillars or being anywhere other than directly beside Thunderous will cause him to constantly throw his multi-magic attack hitting all players in the boss room. Magic attacks that cause a lot of damage, and cannot be blocked using Protect from Magic.
Stand right behind a pillar if Thunderous has any text above his head, or you will be killed instantly by one of his special attacks.
As soon as his special attack is over, attack him. Pray melee at ALL times during the fight.
<If there is even just one player that is hiding behind a pillar or is not within Melee range of this boss, he will use his Magic attack constantly on everyone. >
