A little bit about us...

The Grand Kingdom ( TGK ) is a RuneScape playing society that acts as a POC (Player Owned City). We embrace many different roles, offering an array of opportunities and cultures to immerse ourselves in a fictional world, allowing us to sculpture our own events, stories and ultimately our own legacy.

Whether you are looking for a home, here on diplomatic terms, seeking information or interested in our structure, we welcome you to our thread. The Grand Kingdom is a POC that was founded in 2007-08 by Queen Adara and King Lylylylyly in the First Age, mastered by King Criax Ranour in the Second Age and regrown by King Flat Jack in the Third Age where the story now continues.

A POC is a clan that uses mild role-play to behave as a Kingdom, Empire, or Republic. Very few RuneScapers have heard of a POC, but those that have been a part of one know that it can often define your RuneScape experience. We focus strongly on a sense of community and family. It is indeed a fine area to specialise in.

This is the Third Age of The Grand Kingdom, recreated from the fine POC that once thrived in our earlier years. We are here to honor history and to bring back the golden days of Player Owned Cities. Why Join The Grand Kingdom?

The Grand Kingdom is more than a clan. It is a community of friendly, mature members that are looking to enhance their RuneScape experience. With a strong emphasis on respect, progress and believe, TGK hopes to set the benchmark for POC's.

We are proud of these core values. We are unique, with our own living structure steeped in tradition and history. With over 8 years of POC experience, we have seen it all, from achievement, victory and fame to anarchy, betrayal and revolution. However the story does not stop here, for it is you that must join our journey and continue writing our legacy.

Within our walls there is much to do and much to see. Those interested in external affaires will find the fruits of their labour in the Diplomacy Department, while internal affaires of law and order echo out of Judiciary. It would be unjust for me to not mention our great Senate who legislate our Kingdom, those who are politically engaged will find belonging here.. or maybe a pious life is one for you? where Sainthood may await in our Monastery branch. Last but not least, every great Kingdom has fitting military might, conquer our enemies and lead our people to victory will quickly progress your career in the Military. The choice is yours.

The Noticeboard is at the very heart of our community, recording any and all news relating to the day-to-day life of the Kingdom. Content may vary, from the initiation of new TGKians, to the passing of old ones. It might even be a Kingdom story, an event or an important update. The Governing Rules of The Grand Kingdom are there to promote and nurture a friendly, mature and respectful environment. The Governing Rules are managed by the Judiciary. More information regarding the Judiciary can be found on the Second Page of this thread.

The Governing Rules of The Grand Kingdom

Clan Chat

- Spamming and Bullying is not allowed in the Clan Chat.
- Swearing must be kept to a minimum.
- Respect the opinions and discussions of others.
- Be courteous to fellow TGKians during announcements.

Internal Affaires

- All Jagex rules apply to all members of the Kingdom.
- The Avatar is Kingdom property. TGKians must dismiss it upon lobbying/logging out.
- Appropriate conduct and protocol must be observed at all Kingdom meetings.
- In no circumstances is multi-clanning acceptable.
- All internal disputes will be dealt with by the Senate and the Judiciary.

External Affaires

- There is zero tolerance towards the spamming of our Allies/Enemies.
- Despite our differences, our enemies must always be respected.
- Alliance Applications and Enemy Declarations are not binding until approved.
- All external disputes will be dealt with by the Diplomacy Department.

All the members of The Grand Kingdom are TGK Citizens (known as TGKians). Upon the successful completion of the Citizen Application, you will be invited to join the Kingdom. Once you have accepted the invite, you will resume the role of Recruit in the Clan Chat.

As time progresses and you integrate within the community, your Clan Chat rank within the Kingdom will increase. For this to happen, you must show a number of the following characteristics:

- Active both in-game and on the forums. (Bumping the thread is much appreciated!)
- Capping at the Clan Citadel regularly.
- Being a friendly, polite and interactive member in the Clan Chat.
- Attending events and assuming proper Kingdom protocol when the time arises.

Citizen Ranking Structure

Recruit > Corporal > Sergeant > Lieutenant > Captain > General

Recruit: For those new members of TGK that have recently joined our Kingdom.

Corporal: For those members that show signs of demonstrating the above.

Sergeant: For those members that have begun demonstrating the above.

Lieutenant: For those members that actively demonstrate the above.

Captain: For those members that excel beyond the above.

General: For those members that go above and beyond everything mentioned above.

The Monarchy

The Monarchy is comprised of the Royal Family and the Royal Advisors. This is the Leadership body of TGK. For more information regarding the specific roles of The Monarchy, please refer to the Page 2. There are 3 managerial positions within The Monarchy. They are the following:

The King & Queen - The Supreme Leaders of the Kingdom, holding the Owner and Deputy Ranks in the CC.

The Prince & Princess - The future King & Queen of the Kingdom, holding the Overseer Rank in the CC.

The Royal Advisors - They advise the King & Queen, holding the Admin Rank in the CC.

The Five Branches

Citizens may further their contribution to our community through The Five Branches. They are the following:

The Senate - The Legislating Branch
The Monastery - The Religious Branch
The Judiciary - The Regulating Branch
The Military - The Enforcing Branch
The Diplomacy Department - The Public Relations Branch

Within each branch there are 3 managerial positions. They are the following:

Head of Branch: Holding the Overseer Rank within the CC, this is the individual responsible for managing the branch

Deputy Head of Branch: Holding the Coordinator Rank within the CC, this is the individual who assists in managing the branch.

Branch Advisor: Holding the Organiser Rank within the CC, this is the individual who advises on branch management.
