We are united in Saradomin's light. From this unity we draw strength.

Saradomin’s blessings upon you, welcome to this recruitment thread.

Introduction

Do you seek the structure and order a clan provides? Do you desire a haven where you are free to discuss the lore of Runescape without being mocked or insulted? Do you crave the kinship of like-minded individuals? Search no more, for you have found a clan that provides these things, the
Aegis of Saradomin
! We founded this clan to provide a sanctuary for Saradominist lore enthusiasts, and Saradominists in general, to gather and discuss recent events and quests, as well as swap theories regarding said events. We have events such as recruiting, building our citadel, dungeoneering, bossing, and minigames. Our clan is well organized and well structured. We have a weekly schedule and an in depth rank system with various roles and responsibilities, as well as our rules, also seen below.

Requirements

The only real requirement our clan has is that you are a Saradomin sympathizer, which means that you support the character, even if you follow a different god or faction. However, to rise through the ranks you have to be a loyal, well behaved and active member of the clan. This means following the rules as well as taking part in clan events and discussions. The benefits to this will be more power and influence in the clan, as well as access to the clan avatar.

Rules

Please note that Jagex rules still apply.

1. Be Respectful
- Respect your fellow clan members and do not go out of your way to harass or bully them.

2. Drop Heated Discussions
– Certain topics tend to bring out the worst in people. This was an issue in past clans and although there is no ban on such discussions, it’s in the clan’s best interest to drop discussions when they become heated.

3. Behave Yourself in Events
- During events it is important to remain polite and civil, even when those around you are giving you no respect and insulting you.

4. Saradomin Sympathizers Only
- Our clan was founded on the idea of providing a place to discuss the lore of Runescape from a Saradominist perspective. However, visitors don't have to be Saradomin sympathizers.

5. No Harassment or Trolling
- Don't organize into groups to harass other people, not only is this wrong it also makes us look bad. We do not tolerate bullying

6. No Bigotry
- The clan is made up of various backgrounds, genders and orientations. We do not care what your views on race, gender or orientation are, but we will not tolerate bigotry on our clan chat.

Punishments for breaking these rules will depend on past history, severity, and motivation. This could range from being kicked and banned from the clan, a temporary removal from the clan, lasting at least a week, loss of rank, to simply being warned.

The Clan Citadel

For many of you,
Aegis of Saradomin
will be your first clan, so an introduction to clan citadels is in order.

Clan citadels can be accessed from the clan portal in the clan camp south of Falador, or the clan portal near the Prifddinas lodestone, and will take you to an instanced world. Citadels range from tiers 1-7 and can customized and upgraded based on their tier. Many clans make it a point of pride to have a good looking citadel, and meetings and events may be hosted there.

However, clan citadels require maintenance and weekly visitors to remain open and keep it's upgrades each week, and each clan member has a resource cap they may use on a variety of skill plots to gain various resources to both maintain and upgrade the clan citadel.

Currently, our citadel is tier 4, and thus has 4 skill plots open and 7 resources to manage.

Skill Plots

Woodcutter Skill Plot
- Fairly straight forward, simply click on a root and gather timber. Grants woodcutting experience.

Mining Skill Plot
- Still simple to use, except there are 3 resources to gather here. Stone, ore, and precious ore. These are determined by the colour of the rocks, or lack of ore, in the stone. Gold for precious ore, grey for ore, no ore for stone. Grants mining experience.

Kiln Skill Plot
- More complex than the previous two in that you need to go around the 4 stations to gather charcoal. The resource gathered here is charcoal. This isn’t a resource used for upgrading, but used to create another kind of resource. Grants firemaking experience.

Furnace Skill Plot
- This is the most complex of the skill plots. Ores from the mine and charcoal from the kiln are used here to produce metal bars and precious bars. This is done by shoveling ore into the furnace, taking bars out of the molds, and placing the cooled bars into the stockpile. Grants smithing experience.

Please note that the furnace is locked until the charcoal and ores needed for our goals have been met for that week.

Details on beginning Open Gilded Altars
So I brought this up in our last meeting, here are my thoughts on the matter.
We'll need volunteers with an on line schedule that we can keep track of. For those that sign up, I would hope they stick to their time slot or at the very least make others aware you can't make it.
We'll need firstly, people that have construction levels to operate the altar. This includes a amulet of glory and an obelisk for easy teleportation and summoning renewal. The gilded altar will need to be moved to the center of the poh by the portal for quick access as well. I would also suggest updating your altar rooms to represent saradomin as best you can.
Costs for adjusting your poh hopefully will all be met via donations. I'll put putting up 20 mill for the costs in the immediate. Any aid is gladly welcomed. We'll need to purchase juju pots for sips as well, and incense for the burners. This is where runners will come in use.
I would also like to provide pulse cores at around two million each. Thats a competitive price and it would do us some good in the beginning.
Having an open altar could not only be profitable, thanks to donations, but a good recruiting tool as well.
I'm making this post really to hear out your guy's opinions on the matter, suggestions and otherwise. I'll be checking back here frequently.
