Icy winds sweep over the tundra of the Fremennik Province; Winter has set her cloak of snow upon the barren lands. Food is scarce, and the people are hungry. Many tribes are competing for resources, and you never know if it's the cold or an enemy's battleaxe that'll kill you. Such is life in the northern realms of Gielinor.

But one tribe has sought a different route. The Völskørn is a small tribe of warriors widely renowned for their prowess in battle. However, their Chieftain, Astrazak, plans to diverge from the typical Fremennik cycle of fighting over limited resources. Instead, he looks south to the mighty kingdoms and abundant resources throughout the warmer climes.

After appealing to the Tribe Elders, it was decided that Astrazak would lead the Völskørn on raids to the south. Why fight among ourselves when we can use our might to conquer outlanders and accumulate vast amounts of wealth and land? The Völskørn readied their small fleet of 4 longships and set sail south for a new life.

Join us on our journey of exploration, raiding and adventure! We are a hardy bunch with wills of iron and hearts of gold. Those who show promise, ambition and bravery will always be welcome among our ranks.

Rise of Ashdale is a unique type of clan known as a Player Owned City (POC) clan. Essentially, we are a roleplaying group that claims actual land in Gielinor and rules over it. Instead of having kings, knights and squires, we are opting for a Fremennik-based clan that is aimed at a more unique voice in the world of POCs.

To further differentiate ourselves from other Fremennik-based clans, we are actually not roleplaying in the northern lands like Rellekka or the Fremennik Isles. We plan to raid/conquer lands throughout Gielinor, focusing our attention mostly on southern Asgarnia and southern Misthalin. In essence, we will be a Fremennik presence interacting with other civilizations and peoples which will allow for some interesting roleplay potential.

A real-life example of what we're aiming to do in Rise of Ashdale is like England during Danelaw. In other words, we will essentially be vikings who inhabit western-themed kingdoms such as Asgarnia/Misthalin where our say is final.
