*These are the days of our lives - Queen*
To my fellow Saradominists,
I've played RuneScape now for over half a decade - practically a third of my life - and in that time I've seen the game evolve from something special and unique, to something immense and spectacular. Yet for me, the most important aspect of RuneScape has never ceased to be you: the Church of Saradomin. The Church is something special. More than just a clan, it's a community; a living entity. Just as I will always cherish the fond memories of my time with the Church, so too will the countless friends, some still active, but most long gone, remain forever with me. You know who you are.
Indeed I've been through the highs and the lows of the Church, its greatest triumphs and its darkest hours, and believe me, it's worth fighting for. If there's one thing I would ask of the Church, it is to survive. Look after the Church, and it will thrive; that is reward in itself.
But now it's time for me to go. For the past year I haven't been pulling my weight within the Church, and I no longer have the time, nor the patience for RuneScape. As for my remaining possessions, I leave them in the very capable hands of JJ the Sage, on the condition that 10 million GP goes to the Church bank, along with 845 monkfish. If anyone ever wishes to contact me, J J knows where to find me.
But if RuneScape, and the Church in particular, have taught me many lessons over my time playing, there's one lesson that stands out the most. Indeed if I am to leave just one whisper after all these years, let it be this: never give up. No matter how hard the going gets, no matter how dark the road seems, if you believe in your dream and you believe in yourself, never bow to adversity.
Never give up.
Thank you, Church of Saradomin, and goodbye.
Raise Saradomin's Standards High; Beneath His Glory We Live And Die.
