Welcome to the Rogue Ninja Civilization's (RNC) newest thread. The RNC is a rogue ninja clan that has been running off and on since 2006.

What do we mean by "rogue ninja"?

The "ninja" aspect takes us back to the RNC's roots – Rogues’ Den – which is the inspiration for our Agility/Thieving focus and theme. Rather than using standard ranks, we have evolved our ranking structure to include various aspects of ninja culture, such as the four elements, to emphasize our dedication to creativity and willingness to make RuneScape more than just RuneScape.

The “rogue” aspect is simply our belief in shaping our own clan experiences; one that is not bound by RuneScape or tradition. We’re always looking for new ideas to make the clan what our members want it to be – while this is a clan that has a focus on Agility/Thieving, we are not bound by that – we do what our members want. This clan has no requirements to join, so whether you’re here for community, leadership opportunities, skilling, bossing, warring, minigames, a Tier 7 Citadel – the clan’s “rogue” aspect opens our doors up for much more.

Our main objective is to provide our members an experience that will define their RuneScape experience – one that will provide you with a community that will even go beyond your time on RuneScape. Starting out in a new clan, you need to learn the clan's ropes, lingo, and structure.
Here's us in summary:

When You First Join...

1) You will have a welcoming committee - assuming the clan is awake. :P
2) We prefer that your private chat is set to "
On
" so all members can message you.

Upranking

1) All ranks are earned in this clan - through points, Agility/Thieving levels, and trials.
2) You earn points from participating in clan activities - mainly events (which we call missions).

Missions (Events)

1) No missions are mandatory.
2) Some missions are spontaneous, while others are planned in advance. We always accept requests!
3) Missions are generally hosted by the leadership of clan.

Ninja Theme

1) Our theme includes elemental factions - this is determined by your rank until you reach leadership - at which point you get to pick!
2) The elemental faction you are in impacts the style of the trials you may take and elemental-related events within clan.
3) No, the theme was not inspired by Naruto or Avatar the Last Airbender.

Citadel

1) Citadel is Tier 7.
2) Capping is not mandatory, but we really like it when you cap. :D

With upranking, you'll be taking exams, which are like trials. Don't worry - they're not like school. Rather, they're just special events that center on a certain theme - which you get to choose.

Due to the fact the RNC is a ninja clan, we've incorporated the four elements into these exams, which we call Elemental Pathways .

You'll have the opportunity to align to one of the elements and join that faction in the clan. The element you choose simply determines the style of exams you take and the team you're on during element-based events, but nothing more.

You may choose your element at any-time, but you have to make your decision by the end of your Level 1 rank. Here's some basic information about each pathway:

While this clan is fairly lax, we do have standards that are expected to be upheld within our community. If the clan code is not followed, action will be taken that could eventually lead to removal from the clan.

I. Respect

¤ Respect is to be shown to all clan members within the clan, regardless of race, gender, religious beliefs, orientation, and any other type of diversity.

¤ Respect for leaders' decisions is to be shown; if you have an issue - challenge it by discussing it in a peaceful manner.

* Common courtesy for all members should be present - be aware of how your behavior affects others. If asked to stop a certain behavior, please work it out or stop.

¤ Offensive language should not be directed toward anyone in the clan chat or at clan events.

II. Accountability

¤ All clan members are expected to be responsible with their behavior and accept the consequences of any actions taken.

¤ All clan members are responsible for their account's security - please make sure you take proper precaution in securing your account.

¤ All clan members are responsible for adhering to Jagex's rules.

Success in a community really relies on you putting yourself out there and getting involved in your clan. Here's our advice for anyone starting out in a clan, regardless of what clan you choose to go with:

1) Don't be Shy - Reach Out and Make Friends

The people are the heart of any clan - so be sure to make that connection. Talking in the clan chat or just shooting a simple "Hi" in private chat can go a long way with building a friendship. All of our clan members are friendly - so don't hesitate to reach out!

2) Treat Clanning Like a Skill

Yes, we know there's no XP awarded for being a good clan member - but - if you put your heart into clanning like you do your favorite skill - it can really go a long way. Just like you make time for your favorite activities on RS - set time aside to be a good clan member - be involved.

3) Make Goals

Goals tend to create motivation and direction - so it's always a good idea to know what you want out of an experience. Is your goal with the clan to get to know everyone? Rank up as fast as you can? Be a leader one day? Think about what you want from your experience and it'll help you in achieving the most out of it.

4) Stay Informed

Finally, information and understanding is key in anything you do. Get to know how your clan works - what is expected of you and what you can expect from us. Knowing what's out there can really lead to you finding your own personal niche in the clan and what keeps you around.
