A shrine ibis flies into the center of Sophanem and lands in one of the temples within. Attached to the leg of the majestic bird is a scroll. On it is a wax stamp with what appears to be a symbol of the Leviathan. On the scroll it reads:

Greetings,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am Khaan Dan of the Exiled Deviants and I have written this letter from our capital of waiko. Your lands are the first we found of the west and we wish to to become allies. Our intentions are simple and forward. We wish to establish trade in the west along with making friends. No longer are the islands run by a once tyrannical Khaan who had a policy of being aggressive towards the west, I on the other hand would like to be establish positive relations. Your culture intrigues us and your people who has visited our lands have been kind. I hope you accept, for we can create something great.
