A Bene Placito
A Latin phrase meaning "at one's pleasure." Originally established as a relaxed social clan, A Bene Placito has been in the game since clans were released. After two bouts with dying, it is time to again restore our place amongst the ~~anals~~ *cough* annals of RS clan history

Member of the Month is a competition that we hold for our members. It is a test of our players' loyalty to the clan by bumping the forum, attending/hosting events, assisting new players, and maintaining an enjoyable clan chat atmosphere. Rules

1. Be mature, respectful and responsible, everyone else deserves to be in the chat as much as you, so no hate/derogatory speech
2. Follow the rules of Runescape.
3. If an admin warns you to change the topic of a conversation in clan chat, change it.
4. Be active in the CC, and leave clan chat "on" unless you're in a situation that demands deactivating it.
5. If you feel you have been treated unjustly by a high rank or another member, Please contact another high rank.
6. Check the forums when you can, and bump it often to help recruitment and show how active we are.
7. Please use English while in the cc.
8. Do not discriminate against others (this includes discrimination by gender, age, and race)
9. No constant swearing in the clan. The minor swear is allowed.
10. No luring or scamming in the clan and outside. If found doing so, it will be an automatic kick.
11. No arguing/fighting/creating drama in clan chat. (DO NOT discuss politics, religion, or how much you hate someone's country. No one cares and no one wants to hear/read it.)
12. Reporting problems within the clan. If you are aware of a problem of any type, especially if it involves another clan member, we ask that you go to one of the Leadership clan members in private chat and speak with them about your concerns. Problems are best dealt with in private and not in clan chat, and definitely not in the forums.

Breaking any of these rules will earn you one of two warnings. You will not be notified when we delete the warnings (one at a time), but you WILL be notified if put on the one or two warning list, and the reason will also be given at the time. Any abuses of this power

Applying to join the clan

The best way to get into the clan is by asking via pm or clan chat to a recruiting rank (lieutenant+). If no one is available, then please post an application on here, where we can check back to help you out. Thanks!

Gaining ranks comes from loyalty, bumping the forum, and proving that you are more than just a number in the clan. Be inactive, mute, and unhelpful when clanmates need it, and you'll find yourself clanless.

Leadership Ranks

-You are expected to be available to any clan members that might need you and if you do not know what to do or are not sure if you need further permission to handle the concern inform the clan member that you will handle it, then speak with the owner at first chance. Once the concern is handled the person making the report should be notified as to how it was handled, if warranted.

-You are expected to be available by having your clan and/or private chat on so that members and persons wishing to become members can reach you at all times. It does no good for us to advertise that possible members-to-be can get invites to join our clan by adding us, if we are not available to them. Now with that being said we all have times when we wish to be left alone if you find yourself just not wanting to be bothered for a time, let other leaders that are on know that you are turning your chat off, by doing this we make sure that some form of leadership is still available.

OWNER (gold key)
Has final say in any and all clan changes/discipline/ranking
Determines Alliances and statuses with other clans

DEPUTY OWNER (silver key)
Completely in charge when Owner is offline.
Answers for his actions to the owner of the clan.
Has the ability to make clan-changing decisions.

OVERSEER (red key)
Host clan events wilderness events
Answers to the Deputy owner(s) and/or Owner for their actions.

Leadership continued

CO-ORDINATOR (Symbol is 8 pt gold/silver star)
Works closely with the owner and leadership ranks behind the scenes to help better the clan and achieve smoother communication.
Helps to make sure that clan rules are being followed and coordinates with the owner about any changes.
Keeps the forum pages in good order and up to date. Bumps forum.
Keeps the general vex information in good order and up to date.
Assists in keeping track of Non-cappers and Clan Parasites to be deranked and/ or purged from the clan.
Assist with clan tours and answering questions as needed.
Assist in moderating clan chat if problems arise.
Assists the owner with any jobs he feels necessary.

SUB-LEADERSHIP RANKS:

ORGANISER (Symbol is 4 pt silver star)
Host bossing and/or skilling events.
Make sure admin do their jobs.
Host recruitment drives with admin and other members.

ADMIN (Symbol is 4 pt red star)
Host events. Speak with Organiser for help.

GENERAL RANKS:

(Once you hold one of the GENERAL ranks, you are considered a veteran of the clan)
GENERAL (gold star)
Given to those who have "demonstrated their loyalty." This is typically granted based on the time spent in the clan, cheerfulness/helpfulness in the chat, and helping out around the clan wherever available.
Host/attend events as much as possible.

CAPTAIN (Silver Star)
Given to veteran members who have shown their loyalty and are willing to act for the entire clan instead of just focussing on themselves.

LIEUTENANT (Crimson star)

PROVING RANKS:

SERGEANT (3 stripes)
At this rank, it has started to become obvious that you are enjoying the clan, and are participating actively when you feel like it. At this point, you should start looking out for those with lesser ranks or newer to the clan system and help out when necessary.

CORPORAL (2 stripes)
Automatically given after you've finished your first week in the clan, or earlier if we wish.

RECRUIT (1 stripe)
This is your first week in the clan have fun, listen and enjoy.
Collect your clan cape and vex from the NPCs at the clan camp south of Falador.
Ask one of our admin ranks to give you a tour of our citadel and ask any questions you might have concerning the citadel.
Read and familiarize yourself with our clan rules,
"not being aware of the rules" is no excuse for having broken them
