Did you know that the most simple and visible clinical sign of anemia is white gums? If you or your pet has pale pink or white gums it is in need of a blood test to make sure everything is ok.

Anemia is low levels of red blood cells, and not low blood volume. You can have low blood plasma volume (hypovolemia) and not be anemic. It is not the same!
