Citadel Capping

Please make sure you tell me when you cap!

Citadel Capping and Resources

The goal is to start everyone off doing it right;

So we will explain that by telling you the 3 main ways to cap incorrectly.
This way you can avoid this, and always get full credit.

DO NOT:

Steal other peoples resources for bars. (This will get you kicked if you do it repeatedly)
Gather over 1800 resources that we don't need. (We need at least 900 towards upkeep)
Gather over 1000 coal or ore without posting it on this thread (We need to know to use it)

Now, to correctly cap we ask that you do either of the following:

1) With a max cap of 2700, you can gather 1800 of any resource to get exp, and then gather 900 resources that the clan needs for upkeep. This can be of the same resource you want exp in, and it can be minions.
If you gather ore or charcoal without making bars, you MUST post your cap on this forum thread so that we know why we have extra, so we can assign people to use it, otherwise the resources get wasted.
Please gather the wanted resource before the needed resource!

2) To make bars, which will always be needed, the correct way to do that is to gather 900 charcoal from the kiln, 900 ore (not stone) from the mine, and then make 900 bars at the furnace. This will max your cap.

3) You can now gather 1800 needed resources, and that's it, to receive full credit. For bars, that would be 600 of each 3 resources.
This is mostly for people who don't need the exp.

Generally, if you mess up once it will be forgiven, twice and you wont get credit. If you see people doing something incorrectly, let them know the correct way to cap, or direct them here. Thanks for helping!

High Rank Responsibilities

Upon becoming a lieutenant, you are considered a high rank. The road to lieutenant is not a very long, or difficult one, but it is still something that you worked for, and because of that, you were awarded the title of a high rank! Some of the benefits of being a high rank are: Ability to kick disruptive guests, voting and impacting clan changing decisions, and rank in the leaders friend chat as a high rank chat room.
Helping the clan

There are also certain responsibilities that come with being a high rank. With this title, the clan leader, and the rest of the clan depend on you to help the clan, keep it in order, keep it active, and most importantly: Help it grow.

To keep this short and sweet, we as a clan, and I as the leader need your help recruiting. We do not ask you to recruit all day, or even every day, we do ask that you recruit a few times a week, or simply more then you have been in the past.
It is imperative to the success of a clan, and specifically the way our member system works, that we constantly keep growing.
On that note I wish you the best of luck recruiting, as I know from personal experience it is neither fun, nor is it always successful!

Think about the future

Once you are a high rank, consider the leadership positions we offer. Starting at the General rank, you can be a real help to us! Take the time while you are ranking up to General to think about joining our Staff Team!

Leadership Roles

Here are the staff positions we offer. They are all hard work, but very rewarding. They are split into 2 categories. Events make the clan more fun. Support helps me manage the clan. Descriptions of each role can be found on the Clan Home thread, above the council app.

Clan Council

The clan council is a group of people from the clan that have accepted the responsibility of running the clan, in every aspect.

The High council consists of Admins and the rest of the staff as well as both the Deputy, and Leader.

To become part of the council and the staff you must first be a General, then you must apply for the position, and finally pass a test to see if you are up for the task. We ask that you fill out a short application for Leadership, located in the clan home thread

Clan Member Nomination

Sometimes, even with our point system, we lose track of the truly helpful and outstanding members. There are a lot of you, but there are also a lot of things I need to do as a leader, and that distracts me.
However, why don't I let the clan decide?

From now on, every month we will have a new thread on Clan Forums dedicated to nominating your favorite clan mates. However this is not a popularity contest. When nominating someone, you should nominate those who you feel have been exceptionally helpful, friendly, or positive.

These nominations will also help me find the clan member of the month, and that person gets another special prize!

Please visit the clan forums to nominate the member you feel deserves the reward. Please be sure to say why as well!

Risk List Info

The risk list is located in the private clan forums. When logged in, go to community, then clans, then on the bottom right you will see risk list. It is a list of all our new, and at risk members. It helps us decide who is inactive, and sweep inactive members out of the clan so that we have only the best!

New members have no penalties when reaching high risk, however they should take the time they are in the clan to become active, and once their probation is up, to cap.

Active members, new and old, have 3 weeks before they are moved to low risk. Once they do they are given 1 cap penalty, removing 3 points from their total, as they have not been helping us in over 3 weeks. They will then have 3 more week (for a total of at least 6) to become active and remain in the clan. We feel that this is plenty of time, but we are always thinking of ways to improve this system and the clan itself.

However, as a way to help the clan, and you regain all your points, for every 3 recruits you get, we will remove 1 cap penalty from your points. This should encourage you to either be very active, to remain active, or if you forget or are otherwise occupied, to help the clan out more.

Remember, low and medium risk members will never be kicked for inactivity. High risk members will be demoted to recruit before being removed, and as such, only recruits can be kicked.
