Xul pressed down the warm stamp onto the letter, and looked up at Freya.
" Take this. Bring it Prifddinas. I have sent a raven, but we have to make sure this message reaches them. Take our 10 best men with you. "
Freya grabbed the letter and nodded.
...
In Prifddinas the city was sizzling like it normally was at this time of the year. The herb patches had been exceptionally good this year, so the Crwys were busier than normal. Amid all this activity came a Fremennik female running., it was Freya from Daemonheim. Stopping for no one, she hurried off to the tower of voices where the Elder Council was located. Even though she was not permitted to enter the council room, she hurried in and gave the Elders the letter.

"
Dear Council
,

News from Daemonheim. One of my patrols returned from the west (the wilderness) with only one survive out of the five. The one survivor brought bad news back, saying that he was met by an army of the undead, speaking of evil that never sleeps. After conduction research here at Daemonheim, it appears that this is an old legend. Leave the Wilderness alone, and unspeakable evils will rise. Some say it is nature itself rising, another mention Sliske and evil he left there. While the man who survived was clearly in shock, he is a trustworthy man. We need to act on this. I am afraid we can not handle this alone, and will have to contact The Knights of the Round Table and Arthur. Maybe they have more information, and maybe they can help against a potential invasion from the dead.

Also, we must warn the Kingdoms to the east. Our politics might differ, but I am afraid if the population of Varrock falls into the ranks of the undead, there is no stopping them. They must be warned. Artemis the Demonlord saved me as well against the Korangar. I am sure he can provide information about an army of the dead.

Daemonheim will prepare itself.

Signed,
Xul of Daemonheim.
"
Ok good luck

With that, I am happy (or scared) to announce the third world event!

This event will run, like the previous events, in 'cycles'.
This includes, two community RP events, forum lore and individual efforts.
While we will discuss times in the future I hope, this is what I am hoping it will look like.

1. Community RP event. We meet up at Daemonheim, and discuss what people know about the army of the undead. Time - this weekend? (6pm est pm on Saturday?)

2. Individual efforts. Will have more details on this later. It will include PvM tasks, like the Korangar, but also participation through skilling.

3. Community RP event, with follow up group boss. Details to come.
And the of course forum lore in-between
:)

To make it worthwhile for all POCs of the community, here are the rewards obtainable from this event.

Rewards: (the resources choices are capped at 5, eg. max you can get is 5 energy/wood/flax etc.)

Clan attendance in one events: - 5 resources of choice or 10k

Clan attendance in two events: - 10 resources of choice or 20k

Clan attendance in three events, including 3+ individual efforts in the PvM skilling part (will run for some time): - 15 resources or 40k

Clan attendance in all four events, including 3+ individual efforts in the PvM skilling part: - 20 resources or 60k

Bonus: Attendance in all events, with at least 2+ attendees at all events: Token of the dead - Allows the bank to store 50k more, at the cost of the token and 150k, and 20 of each resource.
Ok good luck

A raven would arrive to the different locations, eventually reaching the people in charge of the different Kingdoms and Empires found in the world...

Dear Lords and Ladies / Emperors and Leaders,

The Kingdom of Isafadar believes it has discovered a terrifying horror emerging from the Wilderness, to the north of the great city of Varrock. An army of the undead, growing in size and power has awakened, we believe. We are afraid that it will lay its death upon the living races.

Some of you may question our intentions after a red spring, but we write to you with truth and good intentions. We assure you that the information in this letter is correct and that we must act together now. It is time to rally up behind the same walls and defeat this evil.

Our sources at Daemonheim are trustworthy, but only one man has seen the dead with his own eyes. However, what he speaks of many men has said to be true, speaking of an old legend and Sliske's power at work. We hope that some of you, with deep library and resources, have more information about the undead, their size and power, as well as their weaknesses. Apparently, any male, female or child will join their ranks if left to die, making it possible for their army to defeat any of our defenses, if we stand alone.

We therefore hope you will join us in this upcoming clash.
Xul of Daemonheim has invited those who have information, and those who want to fight for the living, to his people at the peninsula.

Kingdom of Isafdar hope that, like with previous evils, we can rally and save what we hold dear once more.

With regards

,

The Elder Council
Kingdom of Isafdar

Ok good luck

Darius stood in his chambers, looking at the parchment sent to him. Taking a moment away from the celebration that came with the announcement, he began to read. Upon seeing the name of the sender, he gritted his teeth, remembering the terms that they presently stood on. "Now, what could the Kingdom of Isafdar possibly want of Varrock?" he wondered.

The Council of Lords and Ladies surrounded him. As he continued to read the letter, he sighed. "I don't know if we are to trust this statement. But presently, those from Daemonheim believe there is a threat to the North of Varrock." Darius continued to read.

The Archmage seemed weary of the entire thing. "How could the Black Knights and Soldiers in the North not have seen anything? King Verus, I am not sure the intentions here are noble." Rnoy spoke. The Grand Master of the Dragon Knights laughed. "I am sure the Dragon Knights can handle this threat, my King." he proudly stated. The Master at Arms, Punchula, seemed weary of the whole thing. "I am not so sure I am willing to send our Guards to the North." he added. Darius nodded, taking in the feedback. The Overseer kept his peace, the Lord of Events still hosting to the festivities outside. Darius thought of his citizens. If there truly was an undead threat, the devastation it could cause would be awful. Yet, he didn't feel comfortable. After the past war, he felt he would be sending his people into a trap.

He sighed, and looked at his council. "We are to send representatives to Daemonheim. But they will not go alone. Alongside them, soldiers of Varrock will accompany. I am weary of asking for the Black Knights involvement, but we will do so if necessary. Don't give your guard up for a moment."

The Council of Lords and Ladies left the room. King Verus placed his hands on his desk, taking a moment to breathe. He wasn't sure why, but he could feel that something was coming. He got up, and went to approach his people again.

We Leave At Dawn

Brother Rowanius wrote a letter to Wizard Morgiana regarding the need to provide aid in response to the undead threat. He then sealed it with the Order's crest and asked a messenger to deliver it to Yanille. One of the mages received it and placed inside her pigeonhole.

The letter writes:

Wizard Morgiana Legateaux,

I write to you today regarding the aid we promised to give back during our meeting in Daemonheim. We are indeed sending a small contingent of the Order to help out repel the threat in general.

In that respect, I spoke with King Thoros about this. He agreed that five of the best paladins from Sir Fortacus' regiment are to be taken under my wing. I told their commander that they have to be trained as well in the use of war hammers and maces to combat the threat. These men will also wear the colours of the Order, signifying their affiliation. They are to be outfitted with the standard-issue warrior priest's armaments fresh from the armoury in Crandor.

Three monks from the nearby Monastery volunteered as well to provide spiritual aid and healing; likewise, they will wear the same colours as the aforementioned five. Finally, an initiate of the Order volunteered to help out in the aid operation; he told me that he had experience with the undead before. That, in all, makes ten for my attachment.

I do hope the same for you as well. Tomorrow, before dawn, we shall be departing Ardougne for Al Kharid via a ship which I managed to secure in advance with the shipmaster. We will be staying in the chapter house there once we arrive. My assistant, Abou will take care of the rest.

Strength through Wisdom. I will be seeing you.

Reports for the Order

1. The tribal diviners in Karamja enjoyed Lady Morgiana's new dish in her jungle restaurant. A three-star dish indeed as the head diviner commented. Even the miners of Tai Bwo Wannai couldn't stop craving for more.
((10F each to Karamja Jungle and Tai Bwo Wannai for
energy
and
ore
production respectively; 20F total))

2. Emir Ali Mirza signed the proposal written by an Aegis brother regarding the necessity of a
watchtower
for coastal defence in Al Kharid. Construction had begun as soon as the Emir signed it.
((15W, 5R, 15k))

3. Abbess Benita liked the proposal written by an Aegis sister (who was a former initiate of the Citharede Sisters) regarding building a
monument
near the Abbey in honour of their patroness, St. Elspeth Citharede. The statue, based on her pencil sketch in the proposal, pictures St. Elspeth holding a cithara, singing the "one piercing note" against the ripper demon. As the Abbess signed the proposal, she started hiring artisans to get working on the monument.

Rnoy stared, lost in thought, in the direction of the blood rune and death rune that lay before him. It had been several hours since his old friend Mimring had brought him back from his undead experience, but the feeling was still there, as were the dark, cold thoughts that strickened his mind during his transformation.

The howling, cold, wintery air thrashing itself against his tent would snap him back to reality. Slowly standing, he would make his way to the entry way of his tent and glance outside. Daemonheim was such a barren land... lacking of any green or warmth. His gaze drifted to a woman and small child who passed by on their way to whichever it was they were going. He couldn't make out what the child said as she pointed to him, but the mother would reply in a hushed tone, and usher the girl away. Rnoy would frown and close up his tent and return to the runes.

Shouldn't be too surprised... Everyone saw what you turned into... they're probably just unsure if you'll become it again or not... He sighed; even he was unsure. Sure it was a risk, allowing some crazed necromancer to transform him into an undead, but it was for research, and if it could help with the efforts against the hoard, even better. And then there was... his gaze drifted back to the runes.

He had control of the magic... for a brief moment at least. There was no other way to explain how he could craft these runes otherwise. Yet, unlike other blood and death runes he had seen in the past, there was something different about these, he just couldn't place his finger as to what.

Then there was the thoughts, the thoughts of his undead self. Did all undead think the same way? No wonder they came off as blood thirsty heathens... All they could think of was the bad in their lives, over and over again... Tormented by it. What a life...

The Round Table

A few days go by and all is calm and busy at Camelot, calm because no more attacks have come from Morgan Le Faye and her cronies, busy cutting and milling lumber for two projects to undertaken. The first being a trade caravan for the obvious reasons trade and a side use carting lumber to Rellekka to build a new storehouse.

King Kid Arthur a master carpenter himself oversees the construction of a magnificent caravan that will hold the trade goods we collect and have spare after we do our repairs and upgrades, this will be a boon for incoming revenue. Unbreakable the master brewer in charge of making all the barrels to store our precious trade goods, Tonkad doing all the metal work for the caravan, his skills with metal help create a great trade caravan with its own kitchen although in a compact form, superior armour and plenty of hidey-holes for stashing of weapons and other items of use that no-one would ever find except those charged to the caravan's journeys. Bomber and his mighty Suqah in charge of training the yaks gotten from Neitiznot, a hard-working animal able to pull a massive armoured caravan and able to carry many items themselves.

Many hands make light work and the caravan is built in record time and what a fine caravan it is, with the ladies of the clan creating all the material for the trimming of it, fine soft cushions for the driver and guards. Who said a trade caravan can’t be comfortable was said to the King by the Queen and he agreed knowing he would one day enjoy the comforts himself. Tonkad had done his best work on this project, even though this was his first caravan, weapons within reach of every seat and many more hidden to be deployed with a press of a button on the driver’s seat
