Ranking as a Vanguard.

Here in the Vanguards we are attempting to create a unique ranking system that is accessible to all members, that does not rely on you grinding out huge amounts of weekly xp, attending events or recruiting instead of just playing the game you enjoy.
We acknowledge that we do not all play in the same way, some are able to play 24/7 others only maybe a precious hour a week, either way we feel it fair to create a ranking system that allows you all to achieve some rank if you so desire. Once again not all of us wish to have the burden of responsibility and sit happily just as a clan mate and that is just fine as well.
So how to achieve:
We aim to be open & fair and have a realistic time frame once you have consistently proven that you are are capable of representing the clan in a mature and motivated way.
For the first 6 weeks in our clan, each time you fully cap you will receive 1 rank up until you reach Captain.
If you wish to gain rank as a General then you will have to show consistent work within the clan, offer to host events, loyalty, helping the clan to grow and general positive attitudes within the clan, be active in clan chat and helpful and cap weekly is among the ways to become a Vanguard General

Admin and above positions will be considered “Leadership Roles “and will be offered to trusted clan members who have shown their interest in becoming role models within the clan, wish to take on some responsibility within the clan, taking on one or more of the clan job areas and are motivated to help the clan grow. Reaching the admin position does not automatically earn you the Avatar Handler rights.
As we grow we hope to have clan ambassadors leading areas within the clan. ie. Mini games, bossing, skilling, mentoring and running clan challenges.


For all Admins and above the following also applies to you
1.) You are a role model for our clan, you are expected to provide a good example of maturity.
2.) Follow all Clan Rules; this position doesn't make you better than anyone else.
3.) Do not abuse your position; it will be removed immediately.
4.) Do not threaten to Kick/Demote without valid cause.
5.) Do not abuse your Kicking ability.
6.) Avatar use is restricted to W84 please refer to the avatar handler rules.
7) Capping fully each week, losing a star on your cape will get you deranked, if you are earning xp in a week then you will be expected to cap.

As Clan Leader I reserve the right to occasionally appoint a new clan mate to an instantly high ranked position, please do not view this as favouritism but it is done with the intention of bettering the clan in some way. If this happens and it bothers you then please talk to me and I will be happy to explain my reasons to you.

RULES
All the way from the clan owner, down to our recruits, there are no exceptions to these rules. Regardless of what you have done for the clan, no one exists above the standards we have set for ourselves. Anyone holding General and above ranks will need to cap weekly if you are gaining xp then you have time to cap, there will be no further warnings, anyone in these ranks will be demoted if you do not complete your cap. (losing a star on your cape shows us that you have not capped)
1 / We uphold all Jagex Rules.
2/ HAVE FUN.
3/ NO bragging, while we celebrate your achievements remember we are all equal, we just all choose the play the game in different ways.
4/ No botting, you are welcome to sit in clan chat and not be active, but when messaged by a Leadership clan mate please answer, otherwise we will track you down in game, message you once in public chat if you still do not answer we will assume you are botting and will kick you immediately.
5/ Do not beg or ask to lend items. Trust trades even among clan mates rarely end well.
6/ Be respectful at all times.
7/ Keep the clan chat drama free, we all play to enjoy some game time, not to be involved in drama.
8/ Be respectful of other's viewpoints and do not discuss sensitive and potentially divisive issues in clan chat such as politics, religion, racism, illegal topics, drugs, adult content, etc. as we may have younger clan mates, use your pm if you really feel the need to discuss these topics.
9/ Remember behind every pixel character is a real person sitting at their keyboard, be aware how your words and actions affect others, along with reflecting on the clan as a whole, before sharing them in Public Chat.

10/ We understand that real life has to come first. So, talk to us if there are reasons that you cannot cap etc.
11/ Please alert someone if you decide to change your name, its hard work trying to keep tabs on constantly changing names.
12/ Be respectful to questions asked in clan chat, what is easy or obvious to you may not be the same to others, so answer any questions with a helpful attitude.
13/ Be aware that we have no strikes or second chances when rules are broken, dealing with multiple issues with strikes or second chances takes up way too much time, that I prefer to use more productively.
14/ Do not ask for personal details within clan chat.

CLAN AVATARS:

We have 1 avatar called: EDGE:
A clan avatar & her home can only be maintained by our clan weekly resources (capping). This is why we ask you to visit our citadel weekly and if possible complete your cap each week.
If you would like to share the clan avatar bonus 3% skilling when she is out in our home world 84 and 6 % when skilling within range of the avatar then please maintain the 3 stars on your cape. We have the avatar because clan mates contribute their time to cap. Every clanmate can check to see if you have capped fully (on the clan chat – name-click the gold arrow open-check resource- shows how much a which plots you used) please don’t expect others to cap to maintain the avvy for you to just enjoy the bonus xp. The handler rules restrict handlers from taking her into areas that require quests or high stats so please respect the fact we are trying to be fair to everyone no matter what level you are and help the clan by capping weekly.

Each member must pay 300 Anagogic orts weekly to reap the benefits of the Avatars buffs.
Becoming an Avatar Handler is a privilege not a right so please respect the rules when you take her out in World 84. Remember that she is representing our clan so do not let her become a nuisance to to other players.
It must remain on home World 84 at all times unless a scheduled clan event is taking place in another world. it is not a personal xp bonus, it is built and maintained by the clan and so has to stay in the open areas of runescape where a level 3 can join you at any time. If this rule is broken avatar rights will be removed.
Do not log out with out sending her home, as this will mean the clan will lose the avatar for 24hrs this will also result in loss of avatar handler rights.

Please remember that avatar handlers also play runescape and as the avatar is classed as a familiar there are places that she cannot be taken with us, while we try to have her on world as much as possible, please also respect the handlers own playing times.






Avatar Handler Rules
1 always keep her in w84
2 never log out without sending her home. If your net is not reliable then do not take her out. As we lose her for 23 hrs if you do not send her home.
3 never take her out of the open free areas of game, this means only take her where a level 3 non-quested player can walk to meet you, do not rely on telepoints etc
4 announce where you are every 30mins

Any breech of these rules will have the avatar handler rights removed immediately.

Recruiting for Scarlet Vanguards.

Our clan can only grow by recruiting new clanmates, so if you recruit a new friend, please announce them in the clan chat so we can all say hello.

Do not assume that they know about clan life, ask if they need help to visit the citadel for the first time. Be proud to show them around. Remind them to collect the clan vex which gives them a instant teleport to the clan camp, and also the clan cape with after capping gives a small amount of free xp both of these items are in the clan camp area. A clan ring from the quartermaster can also give you up to 50% while skilling outside the citadel depending on your skill level.
