Our Citadel is now Level 7!

Reminder about Summoning Plot - Each member may allocate 10% of their cap on this, the minions provide a wild card resource, gathering what is needed. For example at Tier 7 storehouse, 2700 cap limit = 270 minions. It respects the priority set in the job list interface. First timber, then stone, etc. 3 minions = 1 bar, 1 minion = 1 timber etc. First upkeep, then upgrade, then customization

Hello everyone. I'm back after a ban for use of major inappropriate/offensive language in clan chat.

Firstly and primarily, regardless of any other consideration, I want to apologise to whomever took sufficient offence to report me.

Secondarily I wish to offer an explanation of what I think happened. The second last text on the offence transcript was "Orange is the new black". In real life Olaf had just been outside picking oranges from the tree in his yard. With that image in mind I wrote "Then Olaf has a tree full of blacks" with no intent other than the word-play on the fruit colour. I have since been informed that in US idiom my tree comment can be interpreted as something very nasty indeed. Please be assured that I had no idea of that possible meaning before it was pointed out to me.

Thirdly - a request. If someone says something in clan chat that causes offence please challenge them directly. If the possibility of confrontation causes you discomfort, which is quite a reasonable position, then please inform a key-holder at the first opportunity. This will give the clan admin people the chance to enquire, then if appropriate, directly warn - or if sufficiently bad then boot - the offending person. Either way, if you feel a report is warranted then do so because that's why the report system is there - but at least let a key-holder know what's happened.

In this case I had no idea why I had been muted / banned and while trying to work it out I made an accusation against another clan member that now appears unfounded.

I hope this clears up a horrible mis-understanding. I hate to think that someone continues to think I had said such a thing with any evil intent.

I would tend to agree that if something is said in the clan chat which is offensive, the "offender" might desire to know about the "offense" so as to correct the situation immediately.

Playing with folks from all over the world, it becomes hard to know what is offensive and what isn't - idioms and phrases can be slippery indeed.
