With this new world event we all have the option to turn on pvp and kill other players in designated areas on the regular world map. There is no loss involved, other then a little time. And we have discovered that with pvp on the actual capping to 30k goes much much faster. (3+ hours pvp off vs under 30 minutes pvp on.) You do not have to engage in pvp while you have it on if you don't want to, but you do risk someone attacking you. If you do have a problem with ppl attacking you, simply move to another structure. There are a few that are not often populated and it's pretty easy to find a (somewhat) safer spot.

While it has always been understood that AESOPs do not pk each other, this event is a totally new thing to the game, and thus to AESOP. And it is a good opportunity for some of us to experience pvp (with no losses) that have not tried it before. Let's just make sure that both parties are agreeable to this; if an AESOP wants to have pvp on and not get attacked by other AESOPs, simply say so in cc. Or if you want to fully engage and have at one another, please let it be known in cc that you are up for this.

Thanks all, and have fun with it!
Ahma

Disclaimer:

If you have pvp on but do not plan on participating in pvp and there are AESOPs around that are participating, please be aware that accidents will more then likely happen. You may take a hit or 2 accidentally. It is also possible that your statement in cc concerning this will be missed, so please be do not be ready to immediately cry "foul!" should you get pvp-ed by a fellow AESOP.

Also be aware that you will be fair game to any non-AESOP pvp-er doing the world event.

Trouble Brewing

We have been invited:

Allies of Saradomin seeks a fellow Skiller clan to support our Trouble Brewing event on Friday at 11P USEST (8P USPDT). Choice of world to be determined later.

We will be observing a no-sabotage truce during this event. Clans unwilling to observe such a truce need not attend.

Make sure whoever's coming knows to PM me.
- Selendrya

Host: Selendrya, Allies of Saradomin
Date: Friday Dec. 20th
Start Time: 4pm UTC/GMT/game time*, 11pm EST/aesop time*, 8 am PST
End Time: tbd
World: tbd
Meet Location: Trouble Brewing, Mos Le'Harmless
Risk Level: Trouble Brewing is a safe minigame, but you can be attacked on the way there.

Skill/Quest Requirements: Cabin Fever Quest, Level 40 Cooking. 3 people per team are required to play.

Equipment: Boots of Lightness, Spotted or Spottier Cloak. Your attire is your choice, but keeping yourself lightweight in order to move fast is recommended. No hats nor capes as teams wear team capes when playing the game. Inventory must be kept clear; there is a bank deposit box outside of the game.

Notes: All the items you will need for this are found in the minigame area. You are not allowed anything in your inventory when you enter this minigame.

There are five ingredients for the rum that each team has to gather: Bitternuts, Sweetgrubs, Scrapeytree bark, red or blue water to add to your still, (also to give to your monkey to gather Bitternuts), & buckets of water. To make the red/blue water, gather red or blue flowers and use on kettle in your own still, then use a bowl on the kettle to get the colored water.

These ingredients are used on the still, which is fired from wood chopped, collected, and kept burning by players. A player must gather the bottles of rum as they are produced or they will not count in your scores.

Too complicated? You can choose just one task and do it over and over.

Please remember to pm Selendrya upon arrival.

Citadel Information Post:
To our new AESOPs, I post these numbers as a loose guide on what to gather at the citadel for upkeep. I base them on an average number of ppl that work at the citadel each week; I use that number to divide the actual resource requirement to arrive at a base number for each person to gather in each resource. The total of the resources below equals 1408, leaving 1292 resources free to gather as you like at the citadel. These numbers are far from exact; we tend to finish things like stone early on in the week. So as I said, this is simply a loose guide to follow if you'd like to. The upkeep numbers do not change from week to week.

Weekly Citadel Upkeep numbers:
270 blippos
65 stone
98 bars (+98 ore + 98 charcoal)
118 p bars (+118 p ore + 118 charcoal)
202 cloth
223 food

I try to add cosmetics each week so that we don't end up loosing a lot of resources, and I try and vary the resources needed for them. Currently we are working on party room tables & chairs, and the lower keep windows. For them we need logs, regular bars, precious bars, food, and cloth.

Please, mine your own ore and make your own charcoal prior to making your bars so that you don't use someone else's resources! And please use your resources when you gather them when possible. Do not risk loosing them! Thanks!

Avatar Wardens need to remember that if you set your avatar to gathering bars, it uses the resources already gathered by other AESOPs. I usually have mine gather charcoal but you can have them gather any basic resource instead of bars or p bars.

Pita (blue lava light head) is the only avatar that has the citadel resource bonus buff.

Sunday evening at 8 pm est is the cutoff time in regards to resources. What that means is if there are resources sitting there, such as ores and charcoal, they are open to be used by anyone that wants to use them.

Thank you!
