Trouble Brewing Impromptu Event

Yaaaargh! Be ye implings or be ye pirates??!! Wilt has teamed up with master brewer Aubs and they will start an impromptu event at the brewery as soon as they have enough pirates (6) Check in cc for game status or tips on how to get started.

Meet Location: Ectophial to Port Phasmatys, then walk to Bill Teach's ship for the ride to Mos Le'Harmless. The walk to Trouble Brewing itself can be dangerous for lower level players, so use your Run and take a couple pieces of food. Anything you don't use can be deposited at the minigame site. Trouble Brewing is a safe minigame.
Risk Level: low, once you arrive at the game site.

Skill/Quest Requirements: Cabin Fever Quest, Level 40 Cooking. 3 people per team are required to play.

Equipment: Boots of Lightness, Spotted or Spottier Cloak. Your attire is your choice, but keeping yourself lightweight in order to move fast is recommended. No hats as teams wear team capes when playing the game. Inventory must be kept clear; there is a bank deposit box outside of the game.

Rewards include experience in Cooking, Firemaking, Crafting, and Agility. You will receive 100 Crafting exp, 250 Cooking exp and 150 Firemaking exp for every bottle of rum that your team produced, as long as you contributed enough ingredients. To receive this experience, you will need to have contributed either: 1 scrapey-bark, 1 bitternut, 1 sweetgrubs or 3 coloured water per bottle of experience claimed. Adding buckets of water to the hoppers does not grant this experience. Each player on a team gains two pieces of eight for every bottle of rum their team produced. They also gain an additional piece of eight for every task they complete (such as gathering ingredients, sabotage etc). These can be traded at Honest Jimmy's for ragged navy uniforms, tricorn hats, piratical banners and 'The stuff' to increase the chance that your own brews will reach matu

Notes:
All the items you will need for this are found in the minigame area. You are not allowed anything in your inventory when you enter this minigame.

There are five ingredients for the rum that each team has to gather: Bitternuts, Sweetgrubs, Scrapeytree bark, red or blue water to add to your still, (also to give to your monkey to gather Bitternuts), & buckets of water. To make the red/blue water, gather red or blue flowers and use on kettle in your own still, then use a bowl on the kettle to get the colored water.

These ingredients are used on the still, which is fired from wood chopped, collected, and kept burning by players. A player must gather the bottles of rum as they are produced or they will not count in your scores. Sabotaging each other's stills is also a part of this game; we will decide that at the m&g.

Altho seemingly complicated, you can choose just one task and do it. This is a fun minigame and worth the time it takes to get the hang of it. Check out the info in the Knowledge Guide, but don't let it overwhelm you.

For the week of 5 NOV 2013 and until further notice.

Upkeep numbers:
270 blippos
65 stone
98 bars (+98 ore + 98 charcoal)
118 p bars (+118 p ore + 118 charcoal)
202 cloth
223 food

For the extras we need logs, regular bars, p bars, and cloth.

Please, mine your own ore and make your own charcoal prior to making your bars so that you don't use someone else's resources! And please use your resources when you gather them when possible. Thanks!


Avatar Wardens need to remember that if you set your avatar to gathering bars, it uses the resources already gathered by other AESOPs. I usually have mine gather charcoal but you can have them gather any basic resource instead of bars or p bars.

Sunday evening at 8 pm est is the cutoff time from now on. What that means is if there are resources sitting there, such as ores and charcoal, they are open to be used by anyone that wants to use them.

Note: The upkeep numbers won't change from here on out. The extra items resources will change a little as we work through them, but they tend to stay the same for several weeks at a time.
