Our Founding Story


Astoria was founded by Olfyr, JakeSlayz and Terraxoxo in August of 2020. We decided to form the clan because we all have such a good time together and wanted to play with people who have similar interests. We were all members of other clans, however, our interests did not align with our clans, and so we made the decision to secede and create a clan we could call our own and be proud of!


About the Clan


Here in Astoria we are first and foremost a friendly, social bunch. We enjoy conversation, having fun and even making each other laugh. We like to balance our atmosphere between laid-back and competitive drive. We also like to do PvM and Bossing, but it is not required that any member partake in these events or gatherings.

In Astoria we have no skill or level requirements. In our eyes, all players are welcome to join, as long as they abide by our small set of rules and are not toxic to our community. Our founders are comprised of 15+ year veterans (including some of our other members), so you will find that our clan has a vast amount of knowledge, and we are always willing to help someone in any aspect of the game.

If you are a new member, welcome! We are so happy to have you as a part of our group. If you are reading this and are not a member, then we hope you would consider us! As of right now, we are very new. No, we are not a top tier clan, we do not have a large membership, but what we do have is fun together. We have each other's back. We are Astorians!

The Rules of Astoria


These rules were selected to be the least intrusive to our members. There shouldn't be much more than this. We do not rule with an iron fist, but we will not tolerate the breaking of any of these listed rules. Members who must be warned more than twice will be removed. Remember, that we also believe in giving someone a chance, so this may vary.


- No nasty language (some words are ok)
- No discrimination or racism
- No talk about illegal things
- No political or religious debating
- No sharing of official clan business
- No treason
- Have fun!

About Earning Ranks


In Astoria we do not simply hand out a rank. A new recruit must earn their way to the top of the ranks. This is the way we conduct ourselves. Here is a list of member ranks and what they are permitted to do in the clan:

Recruit - The majority of the clan will most likely be this rank. Recruits and every rank above are allowed to speak in the clan chat, enter the clan citadel, and recruit others into the clan (for now).

Corporal - This rank has proven their dedication to the clan and is awarded the Corporal rank.

Sergeant - Members who have proven dedication and loyalty will be awarded the rank of sergeant. This is a very noble rank to hold in Astoria.

Lieutenant - The member who is awarded the rank of Lieutenant is a very honored member of the clan, and has shown dedication and loyalty to Astoria. Typically someone who has spent considerable time in the clan.

Captain - To be awarded this rank, a member must meet all standards for the previous ranks. The member who becomes a Captain shows allegiance and maturity. An Astorian Captain will gain permission to broadcast events from the clan noticeboard and initiate clan votes.

General - An Astorian General is the highest non-staff rank awarded to a member. Generals have proven themselves to be mature, dedicated individuals. The General is also strong, and can lead the clan into a rated clan war. Generals may also create clan battlefield events, as well as edit the clan battlefield.

To be an Astorian General is no easy task, and many responsibilities, and powers are possessed by members with this rank. A General has the authority to kick any non-member guests from the chat, enter the clan keep, and operate the clan theater and party room.

This is not a rank that we take lightly, and only the best of the best will be awarded this rank. Any members offered the rank of General and accept, must partake in a set of challenges.

About Staff Ranks


There are five staff ranks, each having their own duties. Here is all you need to know about staff ranks:

Administrator - The Admin has inherited all of the authority of the General, however, this rank can kick any clan members from the clan chat. An Admin's duty is to enforce the rules of the clan, and resolve any member disputes. An Admin can also organize private meetings in the clan tent.

How is an Admin selected? We choose our Administrators from the ranks of our Generals. Only the most trusted members will be awarded the rank of Admin, which is why we choose from our Generals. A member with this rank is a very honorable member of Astoria, and has been entrusted with keeping order.


Organiser - This rank is responsible for organizing events, directing recruitment, setting objectives for the citadel, maintaining the clan Avatar, and if necessary, taking on any responsibility of the Administrtor.

The Organisers are selected from the ranks of our Generals and Administrators. Only members with the most knowledge of the citadel will be chosen for this rank. An Organiser shows the most dedication to Astoria, and bears the true mark of a leader.


Coordinator - An Astorian Coordinator is responsible for coordinating many aspects of the clan such as relaying information to the Organiser, maintaining the Citadel, enforcing clan policy and ensuring everything runs smooth. A Coordinator communicates issues and other important information to the higher ranks.

We select our Coordinators from the ranks of General and above. Now, you see why it is so honorable to be an Astorian General? We recruit all of our staff ranks from there and above. To be a Coordinator, one must have a lot of knowledge of the Citadel, and knowledge of the duties of the other ranks in-order to make good decisions.

The Astorian Trinity



The final three ranks of Astoria are the Overseer , Deputy Owner , and Owner . Each of these three ranks share the same responsibility. Their job is to maintain and ensure that every aspect of the clan is operating correctly. Though I am the official creator of Astoria, I see the Overseer and the Deputy Owner as an equal to me. I can not provide detail as to how these members are recruited to their position, nor can I speak about what exactly these ranks are involved in.

These ranks which have been deemed "The Astorian Trinity" are among the finest members of Astoria, and have proven themselves. These ranks will have frequent meetings to discuss the direction of the clan, as well as beneficial activities. To be ranked among the trinity is truly an honor, and any member offered this position will be vigorously tested, challenged, and monitored to assure they are the right fit for the rank.

And that sums up everything there is to know about the staff ranks of Astoria!
