On the clan interface on runescape there is a green dot near the bottom. You can also look on RuneScape Wikia to learn how to guest clan. It means you can join to try it out and then if you like it, you can request an invite. Press /// to speak as guest, means you're in clan but not properly until you decide you want a full invitation.
