Clan Plan 2015/2016 Reviews and Suggestions


It's the most,
wonderful time
of the year.

As the end of 2015 quickly approaches us, it would seem prudent for us as a community to
come together and review what was done for the Clan community, what was planned to have
been done, and what we can suggest to be done in the future.


What I'm asking for is simple: for everyone interested, to review the Clan Plan 2015's effect and post your thoughts and considerations of it on this thread. In requesting this, I'd ask that everyone further interested to post what they'd like taken care of in the future for the Clan Plan 2016, and further. There will of course be some things that can be taken care of by the Ninja thread, reiterating here won't hurt, but do try and think big picture, or think of things that should have JAGEX dedicating time to over the course of this next year.

Please keep it respectful. Honest, respectful reviews are typically hard to come by. Constructively critiquing performance, ideas, etc, is a definitive way to help better our future. If you're respectful and honest, you won't turn the readers away and can provide the best assistance for shaping our future.

Rework of Permission system.

Rework of Avatars system.

Rework of Citadel system.

Is there anything to be reviewed? As far as I know, there have likely been 0 updates for the Clans in 2015 (except if Avatars resize happened in 2015, that was a good change). So I don't want to be unfair, and make a safe guess with the minor bug fixes and potential small changes I missed, and give it a

Obviously, Clan Updates are extremely lacking (and none of the updates promised in 2015 was delivered), while the MTX team have too much resources allocated to them, where they included a clan-related update (during a "brainstorm" session) because they had too much resources in their hands to spend. And here we are today, we have the capping boosters designed specifically for Clans, but only a handful of people will use, due to it's silly price. What I liked about 2015, the small updates were great, the avatar being made smaller, I do miss the big ones tho, I'm not gonna lie, I did love them. I also saw Mod Maz was working on the avatar recall permission I really wanted it to come out in 2015 but I guess they didn't have enough time for that, but its still amazing.

What I think should happen in 2016. I think they should focus on the clans, at the end of the day. Clans are what make this game sort of, it's a family, it is something that brings people together.


What I would love to see happening to the clans in game, I would love to see them get extended, citadel would be nice its not a requirement tho to make clans even more epic, I'd like to see some new skilling plots since there's a lot of open space, would be cool to have some new skilling plots.


Clan ranking system/permission re-write. (I know it is A whole lot of work and requires alot of time) but! It would be amazing, just imagine a clan based of earning "Clan xp" this XP can be earned by multiple ways (the owner can decide how it will be given out to people) some ideas that could earn you the "Clan xp" the event broadcaster that you guys made, extend it put more features in it, let clan members be able to hit "enter event" and it tags you into a system where if you do go to the event of the hoster, you get experience, for capping, you get experience, getting x amount of clan xp, gets you clan xp aswell, just some small ideas really.

Clan battlefields. This really needs work, it's truly amazing what you can do in the battlefield, you could make your own maze/combat/play room to earn "citadel recources" it could be really slow to gain recources but it'd be still nice to have a alternative way of capping, the monsters could drop a small- <3

- small drops of recources for the citadel, make this not boostable ect, but that's another thing you have to look at.

the updates of this year, it was kind of lacked I guess in my opinion, but I know the clan system has been made by a great team a while back, and now I believe it only has a few members that I know of, Mod Matthe, Mod Maz ,Mod Kelpie (Not sure about this J-Mod since he is in the Ninja team I believe) alot of the old school team members worked on the clan system, and they work on OSRS right now, and the clan system is really tricky what I can read, it's not a thing where you can just change certain things and everything will be alright, it's a lot of work, and I do see why the J-Mods that are in charge with the clans, have such a struggle working on it ( I wouldn't say struggle but lack of updates on the clan system) what they have done, I find it a amazing job, but ofcourse, I would love to see more updates.

I really hope they will focus on clans more in 2016.

Thank you Mod Matthe and Mod Maz what you guys have done for the clans+Mod Avatar for making the avatars small.
