My biggest suggestion for this year is to put
Clans, Citadels and Avatars back on the priority list
. We've dangled at the bottom for a very long time now, and over the years I've only seen small updates here and there. A few examples:
- After a very long time of asking for a fix, finally avatars vanishing after leaving PoH got fixed. However the fix for bugs after an attempted fix for using protean planks for flatpacks broke the avatar again, and it's broken to this date.
- Probation mechanics for joining a clan got edited, instead of 7 days to wait until capping, it's now 7 days to wait until joining. I have a feeling that to date clan leaders have mixed feelings about this one.
- Offline in game = offline on the clan page. There was barely any support for this update from the CLF, but that had primarily to do with the strong hate against warbands. I welcome this hidden update, which decreased drama for clans with members who participate in warbands.
- Upkeep cost got halved, upgrade cost got doubled. This update was much in favor of smaller clans, like mine. I really like this update.
- Clan recall option, combined with the ability to see which avatar is summoned on what world. Epic update, although it took years and years to implement it. This was one of the things that clan leaders asked about for a very long time.
- Clan camp update in Falador. This was part of the fabled 'clan month', which was a month themed around the main update- the Clan Permission Rewrite as well as the Clan Cup. Unfortunately we all know the fate of that very-much-wanted update.
I still very much hope it gets revived one day.
All in all, these are all the updates I've seen to clans since citadels came out. Maybe I missed one or two, but the general consensus is that they are just small tweaks here and there, and the only big one got scrapped.
Clans do not deserve to be on the bottom of the priority list, and are in need of bug fixes and updates.
