I recently posted on the Clan Leader discord thread, but I'm also looking for more specific information about recruitment. With rs forums being eliminated, what is a good way to reach out to people who are looking for a clan & how do we identify them? How do they find us?

I really feel lost with forums being eliminated & especially this forum that can't even be read. I hope something can work out with clan leaders discord. Does anyone object if I add them to my fl & perhaps find them in-game & ask for help?

Unfortunately, one major issue with advertisement posts in a subreddit is their visibility is entirely based on upvotes/downvotes. While running the risk of violating Reddit's site rules regarding vote manipulation, large clans could have a significant advantage over smaller clans if their members are encouraged to upvote their clan's recruitment posts to increase visibility. Conversely, if users downvote a clan's recruitment posts, they will likely not get any attention.

Additionally, subreddits only have a single feed for everything, so recruitment posts would get extremely repetitive without being categorized into designated sections (like how the RS forums are set up), especially if there are multiple clans making similar posts at the same time.

The closure of the RuneScape forums hit us by surprise, and we recognize how valuable of a resource the RS forums have been for clans and clan recruitment throughout their existence. We are currently discussing how to best accommodate clans in the /r/runescape subreddit who are seeking to advertise and recruit once the RS forums are no longer available for this purpose.
