Ya know, every once in a while someone comes along and tries to abuse the fact that there is only very, very light moderation in here.

That makes me sad, and slightly angry.


(No, I am not in favour of allowing FMods to mod in here. Don't get the wrong idea. I just think it's incredibly disappointing when immaturity strikes an otherwise sensible and useful forum.)
This is heavily moderated compared to what I'm use to (HLF) :P Honestly, I don't mind moderation where it's in obvious need. However, two people having a conversation / debate is not in need of moderation and that's what it's often like outside of the private forum sections, which is why I seldom use them. RSOF generally lacks activity in comparison to the runescape player base and other forums I've used compared to their player base... it would be nice if .... *sigh* well, there's a lot of things that would be nice.. but, I'm tired and I'll just stop there.

I'll just add one thing before I go to sleep - what I mean is, people are just oversensitive. They can't handle a slightly condescending tone or someone disagreeing with their idea or opinion.

If everyone agreed with everything, we're all butterflies, rainbows, unicorns, and sparkly pink pillow's on these forums it would be so boring. That's not how the real world is, and that's not how these forums should be. Runescape has an aging player-base, all the more reason to keep up with the times and allow more things... as nasty as HLF can be sometimes... we rarely have problems with people posting naughty links or using offensive language aggressively towards someone else.. although there are links posted on almost every other post and profanity used often (but just in general, not towards someone).

Today a new member of my clan asked how the avatar buffs work. While i was explaining, he interrupted and said,"So does it go up with ranks?".

I'm not suggesting this, as there are some obvious flaws in its concept. But you may agree, it would be an added incentive to get promoted.

Yes, I often as well get people who still ask how avatar/citadel works or ask where are anagogic orts for....

My opinion is that basic respect should be maintained for individuals. And maybe I'm one of those old folks, but my dad always told me cussing showed a lack of the ability to use the English language. The first couple of times, that admonishment was accompanied by be smacked pretty hard.

Made some substantial progress towards 3D printing Runescape Characters (well I clicked one button)

So I used a random male character in game from the bestinary and modeled him in blender (without clothes or hair).

And that's how it came out. I used a modifier of mirror so I only had to make half. When I exported it to print I was so confused about why I only had half a character. ;(

Today I made the progress that I found out I needed to click "apply"

Anyway here's how he turned out

Not the best. I used wrong material so the support didn't work on one arm which is why he's got a broken arm. Anyway That means I can start work on either a female character model, or model hair and clothes and armour to go on him. :)

To be honest it might be easier for the time being to just model a weird creature, they don't have clothes XD
