I was outside this morning at dawn. I watched the sun rise over the mountains with the brilliant reds, pinks and purples springing to light the sky. This morning was different though. The air had changed. There was that very special feel of Fall as the breeze gently touched me. And it brought that Fall scent unique to this time of year.
Have any of you noticed the difference in the feel in the air and scents that ride the breeze when Fall comes?
In US Fall comes tomorrow. Our leaves are already changing, not a lot, but you can see it if you look for it. Many of the summer flowers are gone and all the baby birds are grown. The hummingbirds left for their southern trip a couple weeks ago. I'm seeing the majestic V formations of the geese and listening to their conversations as they fly south. The doe and her fawn still come to the yard in the morning, but the fawn has lost his spots and now runs and bounds gracefully with his mother, though not so close as before.
Soon we will be able to walk down the woodland paths and scruff the multicolored leaves up and smell the scents of the Earth waft up to us.
Happy Fall everyone!
*Take the path less traveled. The leaves crunch louder.*

Fall, is that an actual season? Only way I can tell it's Fall here in Florida is that the Snowbirds are starting to arrive and our roads are getting busier.
