Tell us about your clan!

1) What kind of events does your clan like to do?

PVM, Skilling and clan citadel.

2) How old is your clan and how long have you been leading it?

For 2 years now.

3) How does your clan handle ranking?

We have our ranking system in our own clan forums mentioned what you get and for how long each rank takes time to achieve. Ofcourse we have our special ranks for avatar wardens, (admin) then after that we have organizers for event organizers. Coordinators+ ranks are the leader groupmembers. The reqruit rank is for mute purpose only. Corporal - General ranks are achieved by longer-term work for the clan. We also vote each month a Honorary Member of the month who get's granted for 1 month the Admin rank. He's voted by the clan members.

4) Does your clan have any requirements for new members?

Not really. Just good behaviour and understanding the rules of the clan.

5) Do you have many admin+ ranks in your clan?

Around 20 members.

6) Does your clan have a clan citadel?

Yes we have upgraded it to tier 7 and Clan Dragon. Now we are just keeping the upkeep by 50.

7) What updates would you like to see in the future to help run/ improve your clan?
Well I think the best would be what there has been suggested also before me. I would leave it to the clan leader who has the right/priviledge to kick the members of the clan. So that there wouldn't be any misuse of the ranks (admin). Since thats the lowest rank that gives you the priviledge to use an avatar warden but it also grants them the right to kick members out of clan. This has happened to our clan more than once and it has cost our clan very much like 1b total experience in the clan experience gathered.

Clan Leader Questions

1) Do you see yourself as the most important person of the clan?

-Yes, we are all important in the society. But the leader has a leading role so he's propably the most important person and the one that takes responsibility the most.

2) Have you ever kicked a person from your clan that you considered as a personal friend?

-Yes. I've kept telling people that in the society that we are leading there is some rules that are there to keep the chat clean like talking about drugs/cigarettes/alkohol etc. I've told them that talking about those is prohibited in the clanchat and usually some people tend to forget that when they think being my friend is enough to say and do whatever they like in the clanchat. That's why in most cases I've had no option but to kick the friend out of clan. Usually those friends have understood this and those who haven't have left me also as a friend :)

3) Are you able to control your anger when a member does something very wrong?

-Yes. Everyone is allowed to do mistakes and usually people tend to learn from mistakes and not to repeat those.

4) Do you rank up people fast?

-No it's not like they get ranked up very fast. We have 3 weeks in start for the next upgrade of the rank.

5) Do you talk with members using other sites/ programmes? (aka skype, facebook etc.)

-We have our Clan Forum and I talk with my clan members also through skype. We tryed also team speak but that didn't serve the purpose. :)

6) Have you ever considered quitting your clan?

-Not really it's not the first thing that comes in my mind.


7) Do you discuss clan problems with the whole clan and not only with the high ranked members?

-It depends. We discuss them through forums alot.

8) Have you ever had a dream about your clan?

-Yes. But not like Martin Luther King..

9) Do you think your clan is the best clan in RuneScape?

-Well ofcourse. :) The clans are as good as the people make them be. In my opinion.

10) Does your clan stop you from playing other games?

-Surely does. They are the most important reason that keeps me play this wonderfull game. It is a warm feeling you get when over 300members are in your clan and want to serve it.

11) Would you ever join a clan again as a recruit?

-Propably, I just don't think it's the thing that I can think about it today. Propably in future there might be a reason that makes me decide that.

12) Do you doubt on your abilities as clan leader from time to time?

-Yes, and if I do the clan that I lead gives me the power to regain my confidence back as a clan leader.

13) Do you attend all the events your clan has in a week?

-Usually do, sometimes they are just not at a time that I can be there.

14) Do you always read the applications new members post before accepting them?

-Ofcourse. It's the choice I made as a leader and I take that responsibility.

15) Are you happy with your clan as it is now?

Surely am. Ofcourse things can always be better than they are now. You just have to be satisfied always with what you have and try for more. With hard work and friendship you achieve alot in life and in this game. :)

Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times. For safety reasons we ask that, as we begin our journey, you keep your seat backs and tray tables in their upright and locked position. In the case of an emergency we have a procedure that we ask you follow, which we shall demonstrate for you now.

First you must release your safety harness
Then you must quickly bend over, placing your head between your knees. Be careful, nobody likes a bonked noggin.
Once you have your head firmly between your knees it is advised that you kiss your bum goodbye.

No, otherwise I'd have a secretary.

Yes, but we're still friends.

I've never been known to get angry in RS. When a member does something wrong, I don't ignore it either.

4) Do you rank up people fast?

I use a system that I refer to as ClanPoints. Members rank themselves up based on how much they participate relative to other clan members.

5) Do you talk with members using other sites/ programmes? (aka skype, facebook etc.)

I am active on Twitter and I maintain a well-utilized offsite.

6) Have you ever considered quitting your clan?

I've quit my clan twice. Once was to help my friend who was kicked get established in another clan (I returned within 24 hours), the other time was when the free trade limits (back in the day) scared my members base away from RS and the Old Two Rivers Clan stopped being a clan.

7) Do you discuss clan problems with the whole clan and not only with the high ranked members?

I work with two other Owners who have equal powers. We will generally discuss things first to make sure we're all on the same page. We then post on the offsite, broadcast in CC, and talk about it at clan meetings. Obviously, this changes under extreme circumstances - but clan members are never left in the dark.

8) Have you ever had a dream about your clan?

Can't say that I have :P Clan Master of the Two Rivers Clan & World Guardian. Gielinor is doomed.

Having only ever been in my own clan, its not my place to judge. However, driving vision is to one day rank amongst the top social clans in RS (based on feedback from our members who have been in other clans).

10) Does your clan stop you from playing other games?

Yes, except Age of Empires... classic!

11) Would you ever join a clan again as a recruit?

No, as long as I play RS I will lead the Two Rivers.

12) Do you doubt on your abilities as clan leader from time to time?

Its a rare these days, but back in 2007 I had a lot more to learn and definitely had doubts now and then.

13) Do you attend all the events your clan has in a week?

I will when the convert planet earth into one time zone. Otherwise our Australian and European players will be the end of me (due to lack of sleep - I really do need my beauty rest).

14) Do you always read the applications new members post before accepting them?

We don't handle many posted applications simply because its friends recruiting friends who in turn recruit friends. I believe actually having them in the clan is a better "fit" test. I do read the ones that we get from the forums.

15) Are you happy with your clan as it is now?

We've got a lot of momentum right now, but we haven't lost the unexplicable feel of the Old Two Rivers. Things are going fantastically. Is there work still to be done? Absolutely. Clan Master of the Two Rivers Clan & World Guardian. Gielinor is doomed.

1) What kind of events does your clan like to do?

Dungeoneering, Bandos GWD, find the buried treasure chest with cash in it, and Everybody Pile Perrin at Clan Wars! are among clan favorites.

2) How old is your clan and how long have you been leading it?

June 4, 2007 was when I started the Old Two Rivers Clan. The clan went through various stages in its evolution before officially becoming a clan (not just a loose bunch of brigands) in October 2012. I've always been the leader but I have and do share the role.

3) How does your clan handle ranking?

ClanPoints are awarded for recruiting, donating, meetings/events, capping, bumping the forum thread, and contests each week. The more you have relative to other clan members, the higher your rank. Ranks available at each position depend on the total size of the clan. All of this is tracked daily on our offsite. Members submit claim forms and Owners follow-up. Everyone who caps competes for Admin+ ranks, everyone else competes for General- ranks.

4) Does your clan have any requirements for new members?

None, but as any clan leader knows, sometimes some people just aren't the right "fit." :P

5) Do you have many admin+ ranks in your clan?

Its about a 1:5 ratio of Admin+:General- members.

6) Does your clan have a clan citadel?

Yes, and for some reason the members named our avatar Vilson? Completely their own doing. It caught on.

7) What updates would you like to see in the future to help run/ improve your clan?

-the ability to see who capped each week without requiring them to be online or on your world
-the ability to send out messages any time to all clan members that they receive when they login
-clan bank: certain ranks can withdraw deposit cash/items into a clan account (with limits on each rank)
-F2P visitation-only access at citadels for clan meetings Clan Master of the Two Rivers Clan & World Guardian. Gielinor is doomed.
