Promoted somebody to royal in my clan which pissed off this one kid who thought he was going to get it. Only problem is he is 13 and waaaaay to immature for the job.
Well when he found out he didn't get the promotion he sent me an email with like 3 or 4 excuses about why he wasn't happy all while trying to tell me it wasn't because he didn't get the promotion. We got into a heated argument via email which I ended by telling him to stop acting like an 8 year old and prove me wrong for not promoting him.
He then forwards it to one of our allies who decides to cut our alliance because they think I treat my members like crap and I treat them like crap.
I host my clan's email so I suspended that members account for now.


Thoughts guys?

i'd just stand your ground and explain why the other person got ranked before he did. then contact your allies and explain the whole situation of how the kid only sent the email out of anger just to get back at you for not ranking him.

Hey thanks I appreciate the response, that is all said and done atm. I'm working out what to do with that member. I'm bordering on Treason tbh >=@
I'm just wondering if you guys thought I handled alright. Sometimes I let my anger get the best of me and do some really stupid stuff.
Normally I ask my members how they think, and still do, but you get a bit of tainted opinion from people who think you are the boss =\
Thats what I like about these forums. Peers to get opinions from.

Ryan you don't need people telling you if you handling it right. You tried explaining to the kid why he hadn't been promoted his response proved you were right. If the other clan thinks you acted badly then offer them the clan member and see how that goes =)

I guess that means my "not bothered by much of anything" attitude cover is blown for World 83 =[

Anyway, thanks guys. My member understands the part he has played in this, just waiting for an email reply from my (former) ally. Depending on their response dictates whether or not I tell them to jump in a lake or we work to mend the alliance.
They really are a great people. Just got a couple of wackjob extremists.
