I've read it was decided that Friends Activity was deemed to be not used enough to be ported over to Runemetrics. I request that those working on Runemetrics reconsider since this is useful to clan leaders. It's something that is already created and in place. Don't remove it.

We've requested more clan tools for years. Please don't take away one we have now.

Maybe it's not viewed as "popular" but the work on the content has already been done. Keep it for those of us who use it!

Edit: I don't even understand why we can't have both the Adventurers Log and Runemetrics. They seem to be different enough to have both.

The adventurers log is going away?

That might be a problem for the offsite tool we are using to keep up with our clanmates activities, i'm sure I cant name it here..
It seems to draw a lot of info from adventurers logs.
Lets hope they can also draw their info from R.Metrics.

Agreed..it's very useful and would be missed a lot.

And I can stalk randomers..heh ;)

But honestly I don't know anywhere else that tracks everyone's activity as much as the A-Log does. You pretty much only see XP trackers like RuneClan. But nothing that shows drops or quests completed, etc. I find this necessary to be able to view if need be. °

RuneMetrics will still track those things too, though. It's replacing the Adventurer's Log, but it's not like we'll be losing out on any of the Adventurer's Log's usefulness. :)

It's highly unlikely they will remove the RSS feed which most third-party websites pull the data from.

The problem with large scale tracking of the adv log feed (and probably why Runeclan doesn't do it) is because you can only request one user per minute once you have looked up ~30 different users. The RSS feed has the same limit as the regular adventurer's log. It makes no sense whatsoever to me. It would actually make more sense to scrape the adventurer's log/runemetrics for the data as it has proper error messages (ie it tells you if you're blocked, if a user has private adv log or doesn't exist/is f2p) and accurate timestamps of the events.

The only API that was done right was the lite hs, which lets you get around 10k users/minute (I've never actually maxed it)

They're removing the Adventurer's Log since it's pretty much pointless to have two similar things in different places, and they'd instead rather make RuneMetrics the central hub for all logs, stats and data.

Also, naturally, the more people that use RuneMetrics, the higher the possibility that they'll get more Pro subscribers. If they kept the Adventurer's Log, not many people would know about or move over to RuneMetrics, and as a result RM would remain as that side/optional thing rather than being integral and core to the game.

- Activity feed

These are by far the most used parts of the Adventurer's Log, which is why we chose to move them first. Other features will be moving shortly, although there are a couple of them that get so little use that we may choose to discontinue them.

The plan is definitely to allow you to search for other players in RuneMetrics and to use it without being logged in, just like Adventurer's Log.

Clan should definitely be visible on your profile page regardless of whether you have Pro, so will look into that problem.
