Not sure why I'm posting this as we don't really have a CLF Jmod so this will never happen.

Anyway I've always enjoyed the Clan Cup especially in the old days when the skilling cup was unbuyable skills with no xp boosting equipment therefor fair for all.

The problem I have with the old skilling cup is the repetitive nature as there are only really 5? skills that can used.

My idea to make a more varied Clan skills Cup is to make it instanced. The idea is simple the obvious problem is no one is listening to us and Jagex would never assign enough resources to a clan update to make it possible even though it would not only benefit clans but the RS3 community in genral.

The idea is to build a dome over the lummy crater. [Yes kinda like Hunger Games] then an environment can be created in there and rules set for a clan competition. The rules could then be posted on the website so clan know what to prepare for and then enter the instanced area as a team.

EXAMPLE:
Clan Skills Cup July 2020 Woodcutting Construction & Fletching.
From 00:00 01/07/20 to 23:59 31/07/20
Team size 5-10 players. Each clan gets 3 attempts to set fastest time.
Objective: Create 200 Oak Dungeon Doors, 300 Mahogany Tables & 1000 Mage shortbows.


This is just and idea off the top of my head so don't read too much into numbers etc. It's just to give an idea of what I'm thinking. The competitions could be anything Mining & Smithing, Fishing & Cooking etc etc etc...
Once the dome is created the competitions that could be held in it are endless.

Not even just Clan Cups but Jmods could just let their imaginations run wild with ideas on different temporary minigames.

These sort of competitions could be great for clans and players of all levels as you will need to decide among your team to decide who is gathering who is collecting and running stuff who is manufacturing etc. As i said ideas could be endless Dragon Slaying, Crafting & Prayer Cup anyone!?

Interesting idea, Mod Shauny before he left made the clan cup system easier to use and make cups with for future jmods. He was working on a combat one for fastest time where you are limited to a certain armour + weapons and potions. So it would be a level playing field. (e.g. subjugation + super potions)

I like the idea of working as a team and not having it be reliant on a single person e.g. agility clan cup. I wonder how much development it would require to make cups like that.

That was kinda my next line of thought...

This Dome could be used for pvm competitions too.
They could drop a boss or bosses in with a set of rules on equipment etc.
Often when these competitions are done there comes the argument what level!?
GWD level for more inclusion often suggested but then the people who actually boss want NEX+

Holding the competition in an instanced dome hardness could be altered.
Could have a T70, T80 & T90+ entrance

I quite like the idea of all 4 GWD bosses under one dome :)

Could also spawn slayer mobs in there for a different type of competition?
As I said once the dome was built the possibilities would be endless.
could even be used for BETA testing?
Some Jmod has a new boss mech they want to test out. chuck it in the dome set up a comp and get player feedback!?

As I said possibilities endless...

Just need the dome!

Yes any sort of a clan competition would be good. In truth any love given to clans is always good. Was thinking if the jmods had a mechanism like this dome once it is built it would take less time/resources to organise temporary competitions as it would already be in place. They would just need to fill it with idea.

That area of the map is already used for events like winterfest, octoberfest & the beach. Why not fill in the gaps with events in the dome. Having ran past the area today doing a clue though it did look much smaller than I thought it was. Then again nothing says it can't be bigger on the inside than the out.

Also was thinking maybe this idea would be better raised in general forums, game content suggestions? As it would not just benefit clans but the wider community. It would just simplify the process of organising clan cups. Just figured was better to raise the suggestion to get clf feedback first.
