All I can tell is that it's been taken out, not if it's currently out. e.g. someone's gone into dungeoneering or is not on the same world as yourself. According to the clan it's still summoned... but it's not out and/or not usable, so that info is useless.

It tells you who has summoned the avatar already, so surely you should be able to add an icon next to that player's name in the clan list?

I hear that its just waiting on engine/web work for that...

So that means it is doable then?

I've poked a few people about it..

Just to clarify it's just an icon no message...

Yes, Maz has already said the message that I was hoping for wouldn't be possible. The icon though will still do that job

And it's not to say it's confirmed so don't get your hopes up to be dashed... BUT it MIGHT happen

Then maybe we can go for different icons depending on what skill buff is being used. I will just settle for an icon to start with though :P

You know, the most simple ideas work the best. I've seen this topic about a hundred times, or something similar.

Most of us have homeworlds. What about, upon selection, Avatars are LIMITED to being moved to those selected worlds, inaccessible entirely to any world not pre-defined? Just throw in a third "homeworld" option, and wah-la? Wouldn't that just solve the heck out of this?

*And I guess perhaps it would be more specific if you could set it by each individual avatar - assign them one of the three homeworlds you've already selected, as you would with activating a buff when you take them out? Of course, the Citadel world would always be neutral, and never need definitions to be taken out to.

Restricting an avatar to a certain world wouldn't solve the problem at all. Lots of people use them when skilling but need to hop worlds due to an area being too crowded.

Well, if it's made optional - any clan would still be able to use them as they are now, but those that wanted to enable the feature could. That's still progress and useful, isn't it for some?

Even if an avatar was restricted to a certain world, most people would still not know whether the avatar is actually summoned or not.

Support that will be easy when you need the avatar without asking the clan members in which world they are with the clan avatar

Even with the engine & web work, I won't be able to tell you that. All I'll be able to say is that they have the avatar attached to them. If they're in dungeoneering, for example, they won't actually have the avatar out.

So instead of a message like my original idea, would an icon next to the player with it summoned be a better option?
