Any clan member can summon an avatar from the pet interface.
Clan avatar is at the bottom of the follower tab.

Any & all clan avatars summoned while members are at the citadel will be capping while there.

They will be gathering the resource set by the owner (or dep owner i believe, unless you have changed the permission to include other ranks) at the ava habitat control stone.

Right click the 'i' information button in your clan tab, & select clan log.
That will tell you the avatars overall progress for the week, a well as some other information.

@ cheif popeye,

i dont see a reason or the need to allow lower ranks from admin and down to set up what avatar gathers

but what cuddlebucket pointed it all out but i do have to add this in the dep rank or owner or admin + rank can choose which resource avatar collects and doesnt have to be logged on , as it will gather as long as the person who is up at citadel has an avatar out then it will auto gather so ya admin + rank does not have to be up there to make sure it gathers etc but for my clan i use my avatar as the wild card, cap it where it is needed most in my clan

I need a better way to have avatars cap. We always used ours wherever we needed them, including having one do what we call a split of 900 ores/900 coal/900 bars. Being able to watch what they were doing while we were capping ourselves helped get what we needed a lot of times. The way they are now seems like we can only set all 3 to gather simultaneously the same resource only, while whoever is up there is doing theirs and if they have their Ava out. Isn't there some way Jagex can fix this problem and soon. I know a lot of smaller clans than ours who also counted on their Ava's to be controlled more in order to get resources they needed and this is making smaller clans suffer. Now this means that they have to constantly pop up or stay up and check what the Ava has done by clicking on the 'i" and printing it out in their chat.

the admin + rank , depending on what you have it set to allows those to cap the avatar but the first person at citadel to activate the gather resources is the one in control is from my understanding and was testing it out with other clan members and seems they could not change it , so only the first person to get there is in control but i do notice that someone can leave the citadel while the avatar capps when someone has avatar out so it can keep capping until done or until someone sends ava home

but maybe shauny or whoever at the mod end side lol can add in the clan log in for avatar to say : avatar is gathering charcoal and gives the x amount its capping and it could be underneath the avatar one or above it

as for my clan i use ava as wild card and cap it sort of throughout the week and see where it is needed most eventhough were on way to t7 very slowly lol but yea i think its probably best to let maybe just overseers , deps or the owner to just cap the avatar and sort of guess how much you want it to gather etc
