Not sure if this thread is allowed in here, if not plz just close.

Not sure its one of those people that dislike us that are just trying to try something new or if its a general thing.

But i thought, it cant harm to give a heads up to other clanleaders. Who on their turn can warn their admin+ team and / or clannies about this.

There's people out there creating names very similar to high ranked / trusted people in the clan. Then they have another noob account guesting the clan.

After that they use the 'trusted name account' to pm a clannie and talk them in to "lending" cash to their noob account, which their main will give back after, but, welp... they dont.

I've heard of this before, but it's been awhile.

Always good to keep the broadcasts on for Guests joining the CC, so if you see someone with a name similar to your clan leaders joining as Guest, you know that it's not actually that person.

I personally enforce strict rules against any types of trust-lends within my clan because I've seen too many people get scammed through lending money or weapons. So, if this happened to us, I'm sure they would notice something fishy and let another leader know.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up if it does become a general issue.

I have contact with a group of people that do something extremely similar, although they normally do it to fool the clan into giving the fake alt a high rank so they can vandalize the clan. I'm going to contact this group for you and find out if they're the doing it to you or it's someone else, but this group is most notorious for it. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

After reading this post, I was checking my Skype for some messages I missed earlier today and coincidentally saw this from my friend Emerelle saying someone was trying to scam members of her clan.

^ this impersonator's user is EmereIIe (two capital i's) and not Emerelle.

I first thought that maybe OP's case was too specific or like a group of people were targeting his clan (or related ones) so didn't really think it would affect me or others, but after seeing that it appears to be happening on a very wide scale which is really concerning.

It's easy to avoid for anyone with common sense, but unfortunately common sense doesn't seem to be too common these days.

Lol someone once did that with us except they just spammed and were rude, thought it was phished account at first then took a closer look.

It was an ex clannie though getting their panties in a twist.
