Yes. The download page automatically takes me to 64 bit anyway so I am certain I have that.
Silly question, do you have 32-bit Java?
Yes, but not the latest. I'm sortof assuming I don't need 32-bit what with a 64-bit everything else (including browser)
I remember after needing 64 bit Java for Minecraft, and being on a 32 bit browser, I used to automatically download 32-bit java and really struggled to find the right one. To avoid this I went and re-installed Chrome but with a 64 bit version - and now, in doing so, I avoid 32 bit java and instead just get 64. Worked up until 3 days ago - now it just tells me to get the damn client.
The client isn't bad, but it's so annoying when I want to have browser tabs open at the same time....

I know Chrome are ending Java support, as they announced it a while back. I'm just not sure when - this could be the start of that? You may wish to switch to another browser if you want tabs open.

Seems a bit odd that they'd end Java support. Though, I guess they have html5.. Plus I don't know anyone having these issues, even on chrome?

Yes Google are dropping NPAPI support from Chrome which will mean issues for java, silverlight and unity. This has made a lot of developers of a lot of products on the internet grumble quite a lot
Currently my computer is rather messed up and broken. So I can't get the client to work (registry stuff messing things up with uninstalling and reinstalling). So at the moment use chrome for playing. Anyone got good suggestions on where to get my computer sorted? (preferably online)

Well, I can understand why. Any ETA on Runescape HTML5 so I can continue using chrome?
The HTML5 Beta is still available but given the inadequate support for full HTML5 by browsers, including Chrome, then we have moved our experience and learnings on to the NXT version of our client, as demonstrated at RuneFest. That will be released soon(tm).
Matthe I understand that you are very busy catching up with what you missed but is it possible to let in some new clf members.... My other rep is nagging me to let in
