JavaScript and Java aren't the same thing; 2 diff languages
Though the way I see it is: if the engine is written in Java but uses RuneScript to write the rest...it sounds like an API to me.
Sort of like how JQuery is an API for JavaScript to usually make it easier to code with (though I prefer coding in pure JavaScript myself
).
Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?
"No."[1]
1. William Shakespeare,
Hamlet
, Act III, Scene 1, line 96.
For a start, RuneScript is not object oriented. Some parts of it are procedural... others aren't.
Syntax looks similar, but is different enough to confuse when switching between the two.
RuneScript doesn't have many, many, many things that java has e.g. no string manipulation serverside.
So...
Runescript is worse than JavaScript? (if that's even possible)
I'm not sure anything could be as bad as Javascript.....at least we have strongly typed variables....

Not actually done Java or JavaScript, but I can't wait...... (I'm doing some later this year)

Didn't know you spoke Japanese!
I don't! I was making random noises.
My friends and I like to put on different outfits and run around f2p words making noises. Lately it's been the spirit hunter outfit/animation.
Chasing each other around varrock world 3 yelling, "Neomuh schkt! Click click whulululululululu!"
Racey? Maybe a little. But it's hilarious all the same.
