If I downgrade the citadel from t7 to t6 will it automatically downgrade the avatar habitat from the t7 one to the t5 one?
I'm planning on downgrading from t7 to either t6 or t5, interest has dwindled in the citadel and I can't really be bothered nagging people to go up when there's really nothing there for them other than doing me a favour.
Having never downgraded, I can't only assume it will automatically downgrade your avatar habitat - and all the plots too.
But if your going to keep a citadel at any level, how much will downgrading help ?
Whatever the level of your citadel you still need at least 5 visitors - though slightly more than that in order to meet your upkeep. At T7, you at least have 3 avatars to help you get upkeep, and a higher resource cap. Will dropping to t6 or t5 made that much difference ?
I'd have to check the wikia page for exact levels, but if you downgrade anything that is a requirement for something else, all of those things will be automatically downgraded also.

Honestly, I don't know. I just know I've had enough of managing the citadel since 2011 and the last few months we aren't meeting upkeep naturally which has resulted in me having to message individual players to go up, even offering to give them cap boosters as they don't really want to be there.
So this is the only thing I can think of that may help.
Id research before you do it, regardless of the tier you still need 5 visitors to keep it , and with a reduced cap and less avatars, you might not find it any easier with a lower teir
After looking at the amount, there's not too much difference. I've had some words to myself and decided I will have to keep nagging people and think of a way to get people to go up naturally.
Its sad to see well established clans fighting to save citadel from downgrading .
My clans has a maxed citadel and never have any need to lock plots.
But my clan has no level requirements
So people are more than willing to use the citadel
Plots like crafting can hit well over double requirements needed
I definitely think citadels need a combat function to intrest combat clans
or even fewer resources for maxed out clans that have everything in citadel .
Just because my clan loves citadel doesn't mean hi level maxed combat clans should have to work citadel to keep avatars when its only interest is keeping 3 avatars
You need to give more clanmates an incentive to cap at the Citadel; the mediocre XP rates are insufficient.
I noticed that throughout your clan of approximately 150 clanmates you have only 12 Administrative staff; less than 10% of the Clan can conveniently access Avatars.
Try awarding Admin/Avatar privileges to more of your Clanmates. If Clanmates like benefiting from Avatars then the chances are they would love to be able to summon one.
Give them this privilege and you may find that they want to keep it (i.e. they'll need to cap.) Look to promote clanmates who are lower-levelled but hold Star ranks already.
You could also ask Clanmates if anyone would like to be promoted to an Admin and have Avatar summoning power; but make it a condition that they need to help maintain the Avatars if they summon them by gathering at the Citadel.
If you are struggling with existing ranks, then you need to make an effort to actively recruit mid-level P2P players.
Generally-speaking, you want to set your Avatars to gather the most tedious resource. Personally I find the most annoying to gather is Crafting and Smithing; but this is a unique scenario to each clan depending on the stats of clanmates.

Generally we put avatars into charcoal so that people can smith if they want to.
Capping is purely voluntary, but I have made it a condition of admin + rank that they ensure we meet upkeep. In practice, as another clan with no level requirements, we have over 30 cappers each week without me having to even mention it . We don't lock plots or tell people what to cap on.
I'm more than well aware that my clan is the ideal of what a citadel clan should be, and very very grateful to my clan family for making it so easy on me !
