I saw a Jmod response to the kiln conveyor belt a long time ago but I have no idea if the post even exists anymore. =/ It had to do with the jump in xp from upgrading to T6 kiln, or something along those lines. I think the point was to slow down the xp gain...but that honestly doesn't make sense to me.

What he basically means by he, is it would take a lot of time to make a new graphics for it, which will then have to be design in Day/Night with different texture and layers upon layers of things that will have to go into QA with different levels and different aspects of stuff.
So it sums up that it will take a lot of time removing it then it would to deal with it for a bit until they can address the issue more better.

I don't remember a thread on the forums however I remember a clf meeting where limbo said the exp rates for all the plots are carefully calculated and the conveyor belt had something to do with that.
