What the topic says!
Recently ive run into the problem with clan numbers getting unrealistically big, mostly due to dead alts (not that we were anywhere near 500, but we like not to look too big on the paper, it puts some people off)
There is no way to say what acc is an alt (and my clannies dont cooperate when i try making a list >.&gt ;) , but pretty much all IM accs are. I would love something like the (hc)im icon next to their name in Clanmates list on web and/or in game.
I suppose it might help quite a few clans to manage their members better.

Alternatively, you could add your clan to the Runeclan database and from there see which clan mates did not gain any xp in a specific amount of time. Despite not giving you any information on who is an ironman, it would allow you to clean your clan from inactive individuals.

Also, I support adding a method to distinguish ironman from normal accounts.

I doubt this is something that Jagex themselves could do, as there's no garantee that an IM account is an alt, it'd require them to cross reference IP Addresses, and then there's always the chance for possible variables like them having a sibling that plays from that computer or the account changing hands (Against the rules, but nonetheless possible).

This is something that I think we as clan leaders need to be in charge of. If your clan members are unwilling to disclose what accounts are their alts, then you'll need to either respect their privacy or take action in some other form.

I actually do that, but I am especially annoyed by alts that get added and then are never played again. And I KNOW 95 % of these are IM and I know we have no IM thats not alt in the clan, so... yeah.

Well i wouldnt expect to see "this ironman is alt of XXX", thatd be just silly. There are other uses for such notation (IM or not), like... Sneaky people in IM only clans, making guesstimate of attendance of non-im stuff (mass bossing ect.) and such, you name it. The way Id like to use it is definitely not the only (or the best!) use for such a feature.

They arent unwilling, they just dont realize how much it helps me to know given our ranking system and they usually do not volunteer the information without being asked. The real problem are inactive alts of inactive people, there is no way to verify my decaying memory (as much as I remember our good old clanies that have gone AWOL, I just cant remember alts ive seen only once in my life :( ).
