Heya guys

This thread is for discussion and a rally of support for Clans within this years EOY Survey that has just been released today by Jagex ingame.



We have a huge group of clans that support to movement for unity and improvement/development/QoL for clans.

Please use this thread to express how much your clan or clans mean to you in RS.

This is a chance for Clans to be heard. Spread the good vibes.

No one's responded to this yet, so I guess I'll start. :P

I had been playing RuneScape for roughly 3-4 years before I joined my clan a little over 4 years ago, so I've spent just about half of my time on here not in a clan and half in this clan.

Over the years, just about everything I learned about this game had come through conversations with clan members and the RS Wikia. Before joining my clan, I didn't know the Forums existed, didn't keep up with game updates, didn't know how to boss, didn't know how to skill efficiently, didn't know how to make money, didn't know what armour/weapons were best to use, and I had no one socialize with besides a few IRL friends and my brothers who also play.

Now, nearly everything I do on this game involves my clan in some way, despite the various aspects that are associated with leading a clan. To me, my clan is RuneScape.

Looking back, I can honestly say I don't know if I would still be playing this game as much, if at all, if I had not joined this clan. ~ Sicariu

I have been in several clans during my time on Runescape. The day we created MONARCH along with several of our friends it brought us all together and has really added to the enjoyment of the game. Our clan mates feel more like our online family.I have learned a lot from Vinnie has taught me as well as many others so much about PVMing, Combat, proper gear, proper perks the list goes on and on. It is nice after a long to day to relax an unwind on Runescape with my close friends as we laugh an have fun on line. With our clan being fairly smaller than larger clans maintaining our citadel could often be a head ache at times. The latest update to citadel upkeep helped a lot but we will have an issue once we try to upgrade because atm so many are deployed or busy at work so not able to be on so getting more than 20 visitors will mean recruiting will be necessary. To me, My clan is Runescape also.

Without going in to a lot of detail, my clan, though small, has been a lifeline to me over the years. More of a family than a clan, it has been a safe haven for others too I've found out.

Yes, friends can help too, but it's great to have several close friends together in the same chat, working together as we skill at our Citadel or elsewhere, so we don't have to repeat things.

"It’s time to show some love to Clans. We’ve collected info from current clan members and leaders, and we’ve got prioritised areas of attack: we’re eager to make clans more versatile to manage; we want new players to be introduced to clans early, so that they can be guided to the best content; and we want clans to feel a little more competition with each other. We might even bring clans more onto the surface world.
It’s still early days, and RuneScape on Mobile comes first, but we’ll be sure to show you our designs
and sneak out some updates in advance, too."

Now would be a good time to give some input, before plans are fully developed by Jagex.

Clans were discussed briefly in today's Twitch Stream and once again competitiveness was mentioned, as it was previously, with the idea of clans "owning" a server,

I don't have the exact quotes, but hopefully it will be posted once the recording comes out later this week.

I for one think any clan "owning" a server would be detrimental, especially to smaller clans, and I truly hope this idea gets nixed.

With multiple clans claiming the same home world, there could never be a fair way to designate any single clan as owning it.
