I was going to quote the 60% figure, but Erehk beat me to it earlier :P .
That figure was from a thread I started a few months ago with a similar topic to this thread, but never went anywhere. 60% of active members in a Clan is a big proportion that updates specifically aimed at Clans could benefit from.

But I do agree, Clans really are needing a bit more love and a lot less "too complicated".

Not really interested in getting free things; the free TH Keys are sort of like that.
More actual content/ larger quality of life updates for Clans is really what's needed.

I'd love to think the Rewrite has a shot at giving us this, but I'm certainly not holding my breath for it passing.

Dont really see the point in "free gifts" just seems like an easy enticement to get ppl to continue playing the game instead of just developing good content. "free gifts" dont realy show that the company cares.

And as mentioned we do already get free keys

The investors clearly dont care about the game, just how much they can rinse from it which reflects badly on the staff because they are forced into making rubbish content and detracts them from actually fixing the game and i can imagine for most of the current staff its just a wage to take home.

Wonder if the MTX team have souls

Suppose this could be linked as an extra reward for capping incentives?

Could be on to something here. Very interesting idea.

I'm so used to the treatment F2P gets, that I would say clans have it quite well. We even have a JMod who communicates with us and tries to help where he can. That's luxury. Besides, just because 60% of players is in a clan, doesn't mean they all want clan updates. The majority of my members doesn't even care about it and would prefer different updates. In the end Jagex decides which updates are more important, in the grand scheme of things the clan rework is rather small. Of course, I have that feeling about the majority of updates anyway. Who the hell needs white wolf mountain to be a mountain for some views. Gameplay updates are much more needed than some stupid graphical updates.

PvM communities are declining because the need for teams are very limited. Only bosses you really cant solo are beastmaster/yaka and kalphite king (unless you're pro with stuns) PvM communities used to flock to Nex like crazy. However, Nex has become... uhhh... a joke? Ye, that's the word for it.

I don't get it. I stopped actively doing PVM after the EOC because I got frustrated with the bugs and the lag; the game just seemed unplayable. Half of my friends went to OSRS, but then most myself included eventually returned to RS3. Now what I see a lot is a bunch of people who are returning to the game and feel overwhelmed due to the lack of guides and the huge amount of changes.

Skilling communities have declined because a large percentage of the active player population is maxed already. (Other than Invention, which has limited use for the avatar) Moreover, skills these days are much faster, more AFK, and makes the ava bonus... really not worth the time.

The game was re-balanced so skilling wasn't much of a requirement. We used to need to gather fish and learn how to cook in order to have food for combat. Now you just buy stuff on the GE. So what's the point of skilling? Why train a skill you don't need? Skilling together has then moved to become a social thing; I see people sharing achievements on offsites and social media.

As for PvP communities... oh wait... do they even still exist? EoC nearly wiped them all out and the ones that still exist have a hard time looking for wars against other clans.

There has been a recent increase of Warbands teams. It seems as people are returning to the Wilderness. Clan Warring is pretty much dead aside from the Allied Warring League and Clan Cup Participating Clans because the EOC entirely changed PVP as we knew it. We're still recovering and rebuilding.

Unfortunately it does feel that clans are largely ignored, and we're certainly not cared for in terms of updates.

Lol I just feel grateful for the tools we have. Sure they're not perfect, but they're better than having nothing. This game has never had top of the line clan tools in place and Jagex announced many years ago that they would not bother competing against offsite alternatives if they couldn't offer us something better.

I feel that Jagex haven't realized that just because the main playerbase don't ask for it, doesn't mean it's not a necessary feature. Without clans, where would the game be?
Yes, there are friends chats; but it's just not the same - there's no commitment to a friends chat like there is a clan chat.

I think we're just living on the WALL-E movie. Everyone is stuck on their own little bubble, but hopefully they'll wake up soon. As Clan Leaders, we're on a position of being able to make a difference without needing to depend on Jagex to throw us a life line. We've done so before, and some of us are still doing it today.

Whilst we have the citadel and it's levelling system, which could potentially be seen as a "Your clan levelled up, congratulations!" it's also not a necessarily liked thing. I don't know the statistics of clans that use a citadel, or the amount of people that use it, but I feel that something else might be nice.

In general terms, I can tell you most people don't care about Citadels nor the current Clan Ranking System. I honestly don't have a solution for that. Jagex Community Management has tried many many things that haven't worked out. And I still see the struggles of the Jagex Customer Service team trying to bring people back into the game.

There is a F2P JMod? Who is it and what has he/she been working on?

I thought F2P was dead aside from some Noobs fighting each other on the Wilderness near the Lodestone.
