As far as I know 'The" clan started in 1999

Well considering the game wasnt even publicly released until 2001 i highly doubt it.

"The" clan was created in a game named Cyber Wars, they moved over to RuneScape when it became public in 2001. Pared with Sabres they're the oldest clans RuneScape has/had. A couple of months later the clan BlacKnights opened, but they turned into a community in 2011.

Ah ok then in that case we started our clan in my tree house in 1995

It's an old Jagex game, not your treehouse. If a clan migrates to a different game (for example Cyber Wars -> RS Classic, or RS3 <-> OSRS) their founding date doesn't change.
