Secret agents FAQ (update)


- What are the rewards? 2 penguin points and a Treasure Trail casket each spy
- Does my spy device work with secret agents? No, doens't give hints for them or scan
- Does the secret agent show as a dot on the minimap? No
- Do I need a ring of visibility to spy them? No

Secret agent 007

- When does it spawn? Every time you spot a regular penguin, there's a chance that Agent 007 will spawn in your vicinity. You'll get a notification as a pop-up and in chat when one spawns.
- Where does it spawn? It can spawn next to you, in another room or past a wall but should spawn within viewing range.
- What does it look like? A small penguin
- Who can see it? Only you, so don't call it in FC
- When does it despawn? When you spy or after 1 minute if you fail
- How many can I spy per week? That's random, 0-3 spawns have been reported per round of 12 penguins
- Is it worth it to spy them? For sure, they take little effort but can be hard to see.

Secret agent 001-006

- When does it spawn? It spawns randomly at new spawn points and some 2-point spawn points.
- Where does it spawn? Ranch Out Of Time near southern large pen, north of Jatizso, Living Rock Caverns, Tuai Leit near bank, west at The Lost Grove, south west of Warforge digsite, haunted woods west of Port Phas , War's Retreat, ... World hopping at a spawn may help to find one.
- What does it look like? A regular penguin with suitcase, bigger than 007
- Who can see it? Everyone, but it will despawn as soon as the first person spies it
- When does it despawn? When anyone spies it or after 1 minute
- How many can I spy per week? maximum 10 in total, a reset token does reset it
- Does the number 001-006 matter? No, you can spy one with the same number several times. 001-003's seem to spawn at other locations than 004-006's.
- Is it worth it to spy them? The time you have to invest to find one seems not to be worth it, for now. Certainly not if spawn rate decreases after september 27th. They can be a nice bonus if you're lucky to find them while doing something else.

The maximum penguin points you can save has increased to over 100, maximum not known yet.

- 2: Mcgrubor's Wood, Bush - cannot leave fenced area, fairy ring code: A-L-S
- 3: Castle Wars, Bush - last at Jade Vine Mansion in Ardougne, west of market
- 4: Draynor, Crate - last in Draynor Manor
- 5: Desert, Cactus - last roaming west of Polivneach

2-Point Penguins:
- 6: Mort Myre, Toadstool - last inside walls at Barrows field
- 7: Jatizso, Bush - last in NW guard tower
- 8: Lunar Isle, Rock - roaming, last southeastern part of island
- 9: Elf Camp, Toadstool - cannot leave northwest hunter area south of Elf Camp and agility log
- 10: Lletya, Toadstool - cannot leave town, can roam up to tree gate
- 12: Castle Wars, Rock (freezer) - last Yanille north wall

11: Ghost (3 points) - use your Penguin spy device for a hint and use scanner, teleports every 10 mins

Polar Bear (1 point) - Varrock well, souteast gated area

* Tuai Leit west of bank chest
* Ranch out of Time outside southern large pen
* East Keldagrim at rock spawn
* Anachronia near Herby Werby (?)
* Haunted woods bush spawn point (?)
* Prifddinas waterfall
* Hall of Memories (?)
* War's Retreat near Raptor's chest

Spawns for the 004 - 006 secret agents:
* Living rock caverns
* Haunted woods, area west of Port Phas (crate spawn)
* SW of Warforge entrance, near rubber caches
* The Lost Grove, west of Solak
* Heart of Gielinor near Sliske's bridge
* Tzhaar NE corner
* Blood Altar, inside
* Lletya west
* Lunar Isle, Livid farm (?)

Unknown number:
* Deep Sea Fishing Hub (?)

1. Goblin Village bush - last in the village

2. NW Ardougne bush - last at Ardy jade vine mansion west of market

3. Mage Training Arena - last at MTA gardens

4. Zanaris toadstool - last roaming near fairy ring

5. McGrubor's Wood bush - cannot leave fenced area, fairy ring ALS

6. Mort Myre rock - last roaming near Barrows

7. Dragontooth Isle crate - cannot leave the island

8. Piscatoris crate - last roaming near Guthix Memorial

9. Castle Wars rock - last roaming east of Castle Wars

10. Jatizso bush - last roaming snowy isle northwest of Jatz town

11. Ghost penguin - check spy device for hints, teleports frequently
