Hey guys, J Dogg here! As many of you may have already discovered, trying to play The Great Orb Project mini-game has been very difficult since the release of RuneSpan, among other updates over the years that no longer entice players to participate in the mini-game.
Nearly a decade ago, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the Runecrafting Guild, which was consistently packed in most F2P worlds. Nowadays, it's almost impossible to play the mini-game, which only requires 4 players
minimum
.
As a player, Runecrafting has been my favorite skill since its release in 2004, spending more than 3,000 hours training the skill (
Note: This was also my very first 99
). I used to run air runes for players to earn quick coins, eventually transitioning to running for myself. To this day, it's still my favorite skill in the game.
Upon the release of the The Great Orb Project mini-game in 2008, much more attention was brought to the Runecrafting skill as a level of 50 Runecrafting was required in order to play the mini-game. This pushed many more players to train the skill in order to participate in what I believe has been one of the greatest mini-games of all time.
Due to the recent update (
July 2018
) of the
Death Erebus
FC page, the only active GOP FC is no longer running. As a result, attempting to find players will be far more difficult than before.
As of August 1st, 2018, I am hereby dedicating both my official FC and CC to be a new home of anyone willing to play the The Great Orb Project mini-game. I have updated my FC/CC settings to allow all players the ability to join and talk.
