Random example of a vis wax combination for the Rune Goldberg Machine:

1st. Slot: STEAM (replace with MIND for 25/30)

2nd. Slot: Option A: MIST (replace with CHAOS for 26/30)
2nd. Slot: Option B: LAVA (replace with EARTH for 24/30)
2nd. Slot: Option C: BLOOD (replace with WATER for 22/30)

3rd. Slot: random rune for every player

you may also go to runescape.wikia and look up Rune_Goldberg_Machine for the true cost of each rune


It is recommended that you always replace combination runes and other expensive runes with cheaper elemental runes for higher profit. For example 80 vis wax with mind or chaos runes gives far greater profit than 100 vis wax with steam runes.
Therefore, aiming to get 100 vis wax is a very bad strategy and makes you lose a ton of gp.

Tam McGrubor (east of Burthorpe lodestone) gives out free Wicked Hoods which give you free unlimited teleports to the Rune Goldberg Machine in the rc guild. Making vis wax takes about one minute and generates 500k profit every day which is enough to pay for your membership.


Tips and Tricks:
* using combination runes or expensive higher tier runes gives you far less profit despite getting 100 vis wax.

* also never ever choose a rune that is indicated with a red smiley. In this case you might be better off not making vis wax at all and just buying it in Ge instead.

* using only air, water, earth, fire, mind and chaos runes will maximize your profit despite getting only 80-99 vis wax (up to 500k profit/day).

* this is a great way for ironman accounts to double their divine locations and reroll/double daily challenges.
