===== Section 51: Special Voyages Mechanics =====
At daily reset, or when using adventurer reroll, there is RNG (Random Number Generator) that determines if you get 0, 1, or 2 adventurers.

To improve chances of getting 2 adventurers that reset, build Ostentatious Bar in Shield region for +8% chance at attracting adventurers (Luxurious Bar in Pincers region for +5%). Having access to more adventurers helps a lot - up to unlocking all 12.

However, having Ostentatious Bar and unlocking all 12 adventurers does NOT mean you will always get 2 adventurers per reset/reroll, although by then, you will always get at least 1 adventurer. In my experience, I get only 1 adventurer ~10% of the time.

Next is the special voyages themselves. There are several categories (examples in Shield region):
1. Resources (560 Azure; 720 for dual adventurers)
2. Scroll Pieces (20,480 dual or 35,625 single requirement)
3. Clue Voyages (only 6 adventurers have access)
4. XP Voyages (35K XP; 45K XP*2 for dual adventurers)
5. Trade Goods (8 of them or 40 spices)
6. Nothing (unlucky)

Resources, Trade Goods, and Nothing are part of one broad category. Your adventurer may only get a voyage from ONE of those 3 categories. In my experience, I would say it's 45% chance of Resources, 45% Trade Goods, 10% nothing.

Clues, Scrolls, XP, and Nothing are part of one broad category. Your adventurer may only get a voyage from ONE of those 4 categories.

=== Kags Theory ===
If you adventurer has access to clues: 30% Clues, 30% Scrolls, 30% XP, 10% Nothing
Access to clues, finished all scrolls: 30% Clues, 60% XP, 10% Nothing
No access to clues, finished all scrolls: 90% XP, 10% Nothing
No access to clues, need scrolls: 45% Scrolls, 45% XP, 10% Nothing

- Map tables/telescopes only improve chances of getting clue/scroll voyages by 4-10%, not guaranteed them.
- Max of 1 scroll voyage per reset or adventurer reroll.
- Max of 3 adventurer rerolls saved up.

===== Section 52: A Barmaid's Tip Voyages =====
Each week, between Thursday gametime 00:00 to 23:59, ask Surula the Barmaid for gossip. This voyage can not be obtained on any other day of the week. If accepted, it is placed in the 3rd standard voyage slot, replacing the voyage there, if any.

If you do not get the gossip (Barmaid's Tip) until you have used all your voyage rerolls for the day, when you get the gossip, you will get 1 additional standard voyage reroll! :)

It is influenced by region focus, but it is not guaranteed.

===== Section 55: How to Gain Distance Fastest =====
Always send voyages based in the highest region you are in, all other regions' former distance gains are CUT IN HALF.

Even failed voyages give 100% distance gain! However, failed voyages provide only 1 XP for each crew/captain on board.

At 12.5 distance per minute per ship sailing (if ship is at/above max speed), you can gain ~72,000 distance in a 24 hour period with all 4 ships sailing 24/7 (never idle in port).

With Totem of Navigation active on Anachronia (15% time reduction after ship/voyage speed calculated), you can gain ~84,000 distance max/day, with all 4 ships sailing 24/7.

Only the higher-amount resource voyages will give the maximum distance in each region (including Barmaid's Tip and adventurer resource voyages).
- Arc: 150/160/180/250 Bamboo
- Skull: 160/175/250/350 Gunpowder
- Hook: 180/300/400/500 Black Slate
- Scythe: 300/500/650 Cherrywood
- Bowl: 360/600/800 Jade
- Pincers: 450/700/900 Stainless Steel
- Loop: 125/175/275/325/400 Terracotta
- Shield: 240/360/560/720 Azure

Always have all 4 ships sailing 24/7/365 (not idle in port). Make sure to raise speed whenever possible. You know you have maxed out your speed when further increases in speed do not lower your voyage time. Scroll and trade good voyages have higher speed caps. Adventurer story voyages do NOT give distance progress.

Every time you log in or log out, you delay all ships up to 1 minute, but it averages ~30 seconds. Beware when quick hopping worlds often.

Each voyage has it's listed time and a random +/- 7 minutes (Arc), 8 minutes (Skull), 10 minutes (Scythe), 12 minutes (Pincers), 14 minutes (Shield).

Lv9: 800 (2,300)
Lv10: 1,700 (4,000)
Total XP required from Lv0 to Lv10 is 4,000

=== Standard Voyages at Max Speed (Resources, XP) ===
Bamboo (20 min): 7 XP = 0.350 XP/min
Gunpowder (48 min): 11 XP = 0.229 XP/min
Slate (1 hr 36 min): 17 XP = 0.177 XP/min
Cherrywood (3 hr 12 min): 29 XP = 0.151 XP/min
Jade (6 hr 24 min): 53 XP = 0.138 XP/min
Stainless Steel (8 hr 00 min): 65 XP = 0.135 XP/min
Terracotta (9 hr 4 min): 73 XP = 0.134 XP/min
Azure (10 hr 40 min): 85 XP = 0.133 XP/min

=== Very Long Voyages at Max Speed (Trade Goods, Scrolls) ===
Skull (Scrolls only, 1 hr 12 min): 16 XP = 0.222 XP/min

Loop (13 hr 12 min): 105 XP = 0.133 XP/min
Shield (13 hr 44 min): 108 XP = 0.131 XP/min

Every time a crew member or captain levels up, they gain +10% stats to their original base stats on hire. At level 10, they have exactly DOUBLE the base stats they were originally hired with.

From Level 0 to Level 10 takes 62 Stainless Steel voyages. At 8 hours each, that's 500 hours (3 weeks) of continuous, successful sailing to max out a new recruit.

Build Totem of Navigation on Anachronia for 15% voyage time reduction after ship speed is calculated. Recharge via Remototem each weekly reset.

Maximum XP from a single voyage = 108 * 1.1 (Rallying Cry) * 1.5 (Lotus Tint Spectacles) * 6 members (5 crew + 1 captain) = 1069 total XP

The full XP amount is only awarded for successful or partial successful voyages. Failed voyages give 1 XP to each crew member and captain.

===== Section 60: Captains Analysis =====
A ship must have a captain before it can sail on voyages. Until a captain has been assigned to a ship, crew cannot be assigned to it and previously assigned crew will not be shown. Each ship may only have 1 captain assigned to it.

Only 1 visiting captain is available for hire at any time. If hired, the spot remains vacant until daily reset (00:00 game time) unless a Captain Reroll is used. Captain Rerolls are available from daily Ports random events or Ports enhancers. At reset, or when rerolled, the visiting captain (if any) is replaced by a new randomly determined visiting captain.

=== Base Stats & Specialties ===
Captains have base stats determined by their quality (the region you can 1st find them in). Their base stats are the same for 3 stats while a 4th stat, their specialty, will be approximately double that value. The player starts with a free captain of the lowest quality. The 1st 2 tiers of captains are available immediately, but additional tiers of better, more expensive, captains become available as more areas are unlocked.

Some high-level bar upgrades increase your chance of attracting captains with particular specialties. These are not available until the Bowl Region has been unlocked.

Do not buy the Shield Region's Speed captain, it is useless.

=== Captain Names ===
Captain names are generated by using a combination of a forename (or nickname) and surname (or title). They are purely cosmetic.

- I recommend using 2 Morale, 1 Combat, and 2 Seafaring captains for your endgame captain setup, along with +4% traits in their specialty for each captain.
- Shield tier captains have personal bonuses that are increments of 20. Max +60 in any single stat.
