The need has come up to clarify what is expected in clan life and maybe try to define what we now are. First and foremost we all play this game for fun. Clan life should be a means to enhancing the enjoyment of the game and a social experience, not a source of stress. These are my views and of course Pest has the right to overrule me should he ever come back to active duty.
First in this clan No activity is Compulsory. We are not going to demand you do stars, Citadel, talk or anything else. There are occasions when help maybe needed and asked for, but it is just that - asking. There is no compulsion to assist. On the other side of the coin there should be no nagging, guilt tripping, or threatening. We all have our own priorities at any given time and we are all on here to have fun.
The only compulsion in clan is the clan rules, and what I define them as I hope I lead by example. Respect - treating people how you wish to be treated, avoiding areas you know will cause offense, and if you do offend another try to consider their thoughts and back off. Language - you may have noticed I have black, white and grey - aim for white, count to 10 & minor growl at the grey and we will not get to the black. Helping others and the clan - this does not mean you MUST do something, I hope I lead by example for what I define as helping.
Are we a star clan? Yes we are a star clan and much much more. We stay a star clan because we need to identify ourselves to a common theme and it is what made us what we are. Stars are in our blood, it is the clan's birth place, her childhood and is in her blood. Now honestly the clan has evolved into much more, a family of diverse individuals and interests that have this home in common. Some in clan never do stars, some once in a blue moon, others do once a day for red sandstone runs - all this is fine. A very small handful of us still scope and hunt several stars a day.
Enjoy your game and your clan life.
