Rockertunities
(RCTs) appear as golden sparkles over nearby, same type rocks. They may spawn on any same type rock within a
6 tile radius
. There is a sound effect as they spawn as well. When you click an RCT, significant additional damage is done to the ore HP bar and may even do a critical hit. No progress is lost by changing to a same type rock. RCTs are not visible to other players. Hitting RCTs increases exp and ore per hour.
This pair of ores will have predictable and controlled RCTs since any additional rocks are more than 6 tiles away .
Other times, RCTs are disrupted because additional rocks are within range.
The two factors that determine which layouts are best are the amount of ores and the distance between them. The FC will always relay the most efficient worlds with the shortest walking distance as <world> <walking distance> .
Lossless Worlds
Lossless layouts are worlds with two of the same type rock within 0-2 tiles. And only two rocks! Additional rocks make RCT spawns unpredictable. 0 step pairs require no movement. Walking 1 tile or running 2 game tiles are equivalent and take one game tick. These pairs are the most efficient because the time it takes to move is less than each mining action (four ticks).

Other Worlds
Sometimes there are no lossless layouts during the hour. Don’t worry, there are a variety of other layouts! We relay all pairs of rocks as <world> <walking distance> .

Mining Equipment
Magic Golem: +5% crit hit chance; +1 RCT multiplier; has Golden Mining suit +6% exp; has Varrock Armor 4 +1%/2% chance of double ore
Quarrymaster aura: +2-10% crit hit chance
Pickaxe of Earth and Song: deals highest amount of mining damage and augmentable. Elder Rune+5 Pickaxe has same stats, but cannot be augmented. Primary Inv perk is Honed 1-6 which increases double ore chance. Secondary perk is up to you: Refined (higher geode chance), Fortune (double resources), Imp Souled (deposits to metal bank at cost of prayer), etc.
Elder Rune Ore Box: stores up to 140 of each core ore. Base 100 storage, +20 at level 95 for T90 ores, +20 for completing “Everything is Oresome”.
Porters: banks ores, higher tiers have more charges.
Grace of the Elves: Necklace that can hold up to 500 porter charges. Chance to spawn Seren Spirits which give access to the Rare Drop Table for gathering skills.
Brooch of the Gods: Pocket slot item that holds decorated urns, +1 RCT multiplier for mining along with other skilling boosts.
Familiars:
- Gargoyle: +12 invisible mining boost (75 summ)
- Lava Titan: +10 damage boost per swing (83 summ)
- Obsidian Golem: +7 damage boost per swing (73 summ)
- Waterfiend: 5% chance to duplicate gathered resources (50 summ)
Perfect Mining Juju: 10% chance to gain a stone spirit of the ore mined. Whenever a stone spirit is used, the stamina bar is refilled. Can use Perfect Plus.
Stone Spirits: gives additional ore and is consumed per ore mined. No additional exp.
Mining Cape: +5% double ore chance and gives BXP for double ores.
Luck Rings: +0.5% chance to find metamorphic geodes per tier.
Ring of Whispers: gives +3 Mining damage per swing.
Gem Finding Scrimshaw: Increases geode chance by 2% or 3%.
Rock Crushing Scrimshaw: Increase critical hit chance by 2% or 3%.

How does the M/S rework affect Trah?
Sadly, the old rush of scouting and world hopping for harmed rune is no more. With the M/S rework, all rocks are non-competitive now and don't deplete. Rune has dropped to T50. This also means no more west miners!
On the bright side: we are looking for new harmed ores! The T90
Light
and
Dark
Animica ores can harmonize and spawn replacing any of the rune, addy, mith, and coal rocks. These ores harmonize at the beginning of the hour and remain till after VOS changes. This means no more constant world hopping!
Instead of calling worlds with just any harmed
Light
or
Dark
ores, we look for
lossless layouts for rockertunities
, a new mechanic from the rework. This is to maximize exp and ore.
What are Rockertunities?
Rockertunities
(RCTs) are a new mechanic from the M/S Rework.
Rockertunities
will spawn on rocks of the same type you are mining within a 6 tile radius. When clicked, it results in a burst of additional XP and ore. They appear about every 35 seconds as
gold sparkles
on another rock and have a sound effect when they spawn.
