Welcome back! :)

Shooting stars do still yield stardust, however, you can only own 200 at a time. I'd check your bank to see if you have some in there.

You'll need stardust to receive the rewards from the Star Spirit at the end. Did you see and speak to it, or did the star just despawn?

Where do I go to, to inform someone that a star I was mining vanished and it's not even time yet? I was at a star in Rimmington and I was only 30 minutes in, when it just vanished. I thought you were given at least 1 hr and 50 minutes to open a star before the next star is set to land. I was cheated of this star. I'm doing it alone, as few people are as interested in this d&d. I even spent 25 minutes looking for the 'new' star that landed and it was nowhere. I didn't go to wilderness because things changed and npc can certainly kill you if you're not prepared.
I just want to know.
So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact. And remember that life's a great balancing act.- Dr. Suess
